I'm not sure if you are joking or not. It takes more than one player to play defense. Plus, I do not think there is a better player in college or NBA who can play great rotational defense. I want to build a defensive-minded team, or at least have 2-3 guys that can play solid D while the other 2-3 guys can be hidden in a good system.

The Kings have Boogie and Rudy who swallow shots. Also, you can safely assume that the organization sees Ben as a guy that should be getting a few shots. What better pick could there be for the Kings than a player who doesn't need shots and plays incredible defense from the 4 or 5 spot?

Its not just the roster. Its the who philosophy! Remember practically this same roster played some great D with Malone earlier in the season and since then has plummeted to by far the worst defensive team in the league and its been worse under Karl than Corbin that side of the ball.

That's worse than under Keith Smart's regime in the "relocation to Seattle" season! Think about that for a second!
