He didn't. Karl said he likes Thompson as a backup center, and I agree with him. But Landry didn’t "earn" the job. It's just that, if you're going to bring Thompson off the bench, Landry might be the least objectionable alternative.

It's a move to balance the rotations. JT still plays more, but bringing him off the bench limits the amount of time we have to play any combo of D-will/Landy/Reggie together

I could get on board with that but JT's minutes are tending into the teens and he's our only other reliable defending big. If we weren't getting killed defensively every night, I would have less of an issue with it.

One of the only irritants I have with Karl thus far is him not finding a way to get Nik on the floor at least 10 MPG. No excuse when we're not fighting for a playoff spot anymore
