Fyi

Eddie House will be on the playoff roster so expect big things. He was on the Heat a few years ago when they were swept out of the 1st round in 3 games. He came off the bench and averaged somewhere between 15 and 20 points per game. He kept them in games they had no business being in. He is comfortable in our system now and it couldn't be happening at a better time. He could leave Kings fans saying "Bobby Who???"!

I must admit that I was initially upset with Eddie. He would take ill advised shots. He never passed the ball. I thought he was a selfish player. Now, I realize that Eddie was like a fish out of water when he first got here. He seems to have now fit into our system very well. He not only is making his shots, but he is passing the ball very well. Anyway, I am happy that he will be on the playoff roster.

However, never disparage Bobby in an attempt to make us like Eddie. I sincerely hope you were joking. Eddie has a long way to go to even be good enough to shine Bobby's shoes.

Glad He's With Us ...

Eddie has been workin' his hind-end off.

I have given Eddie all my support just because he's in a King's uniform.

Despite the circumstances (relative of Mike and replacing B-Jax), this is not an easy place to be accepted as a PG.

They are two different players with different strengths and abilities - let's not get snippy about this. Eddie had a bit of a slow start here, but so did Bobby in the preseason this year. Both needed time to find their groove with the team. I think Bobby might take it to the hole and rebound better, but I think Eddie is probably a better passer (from what little I have seen) and isn't quite so run-n-gun.

Let's let each do what they do best, shall we?

I agree with 6th... at first it was "why did we get him" and now its wow... he has developed into a solid bench player and a great spark plug for the team. Good Job Eddie!

No I agree -- Eddie House isn't even good enough to sniff Bobby's jock, or at least his vintage jock. He also may not even be as good as he's been in the last month, as this is the longest in control stretch of basketball I've seen out of him. If Bobby is back, he will get splinters in his behind, and rightfully so. Bobby being a dynamic presence almost unparalleled in the NBA off the bench. But if Bobby is not healthy, have a lot of confidnece in Eddie right now to come in and do the things he does, and remarkably enough, to not screw up (I say remarkably enough because Eddie House has always been a guy who pressed and pressed and shot and shot and forced and forced, for both good and bad, and for him to have become "solid" is an interesting development).

I think teamdimechampionship is quickly becoming one of my favorite posters here on KF....i'm LMAO for some reason right now...i don't really know why

Eddie has been real solid for us lately..i hope the good play continues...though i would NOT go as far as to say "BOBBY WHO?"

Okay, I'll Settle This ...

If both players are at 100%, there's no question who's the better player.

But, one of the previously mentioned is NOT at 100%, and the one filling in is doing just fine.

I agree, but he's been playing his *** off - no reason for the previous posters to put him down like that. He's been playing better than Bibby in stretches (with Bibby struggling a bit) - can't ask for more out of him right now, can we?

Bobby wasn't playing very well in the preseason and will likely need a lot of time to get into playing shape and "comfort zone" - he will not be the Bobby of old this year, if he plays at all (doubtful, as he still cannot move his wrist IIRC). Hopefully he can get back into his old groove next year. Right now, Eddie is our best backup guy and seems to be fitting in very well. Let's give him his props for his recent play and encourage further improvement, shall we?

So now it's going to be Eddie vs. Bobby?

WHY is it all of a sudden that one player cannot be praised without some people feeling they have to dump on another player?

There isn't a fixed amount of praise, you know. You don't have to take from one to give to another.

I wasn't real impressed with House at all when he first arrived. Since he's been here, however, he has - as the majority of "fill-in" players before him - found a way to be valuable to our team. He's done a good job. Period.

GO KINGS!!!!!

are you kidding me?!?!?!? house has been doing a great job as a fill-in PG. But Bobby has done a great job for us for years, not just half a season. I'm not knocking House, just stating that he is not Bobby and it is unfair to House to compare him to Bobby. Just let the healthy players we have now play and not compare them to ones that we've had in the past/or those that are now unable to play.

I'm not saying anything bad about Bobby. Some people are just acting like he would be our savior if he came back. I just don't agree that Eddie House is a dropoff from BJ. It's been so long since Bobby played I think people tend to only remember the good things he used to do and they forget about how out of control he can be. Hopefully he can make a full recovery by next year but I'm still thinking PLAYOFFS!

If Eddie is, as posted, a lock to be on the playoff roster then that tells me that the coaching staff is concerned that Bobby may not be able to come back at 100% effectiveness during the playoffs if at all. Or it could simply be an insurance policy. Either way from what I've heard about Bobby's injury his rehab time will be longer than most folks are willing to admit since his injury was more serious than publicized.
