GSW are positioning themselves to offer a 1 + 1 just under the max to Iggy. So whether he leaves GSW will depend how much of that second year he wants guaranteed (partial or fully). For the Kings to steal him away would probably require going all-in on the second year. So talking about 1/25 vs 2/50 or somewhere in between.Iggy is going to have a lot of suitors, a lot. NBA TV was saying around 10 teams in the mix
@wojespn: Free agent guard Langston Galloway is finalizing a three-year, $21M deal with the Detroit Pistons, league sources tell ESPN.
Good for Galloway. Solid combo guard off bench who knocks down 3s and plays D
Agree! Patrick Patterson is an undersized gunner who logged 53% TS and 54% TS last two seasons. He barely moves needle. He would be more roster filler as so many inconsequential players who have passed in and out of Sacramento before. Pass!Pat was awful here compared to his Toronto stint.
Bad vibes.
Wow! Ridiculous overpay! Congrats to Galloway, but he's not that good.
This isn't our fathers NBA, the times and the salaries are a changing. Plus good kids who play hard defense and can shoot the 3 are pretty valuable in this leagueWow! Ridiculous overpay! Congrats to Galloway, but he's not that good.
Did I miss something and Philadelphia's rebuild failed?
No, but you did miss the point. I simply dropped the 76ers name as an example of a team that wasn't trying to win. And they weren't.
Call me silly, but no fan base wants to pay for tickets for 4 years to see intentional losing by fieldingD-LeagueG-League rosters. And that lame tactic still hasn't proven to be a successful just yet. Even if it does, there's a reason you haven't seen other franchises do it quite the same before.

Sam Hinkie is worshiped in Philly. I think their fanbase is more than happy with Fultz, Embiid, Simmons, Saric, Convington, McConnel, TCL, Holmes with flexibility and future assets.
Everything I read seems to point to the west getting stronger and east weaker. NBA should have changed the d-league to the eastern conference or E-leagueMinnesota is going to be much improved with Teague signing and Butler there. They are going to be a solid team. Depth is an issue, but they look good on paper.
Houston looks to be a solid team, although their defense and depth got worse and there are some questions about a Chris Paul/Harden pairing and how that will work. I think it will be fine, both guys are very high IQ players and will figure out a way.
Utah will score even less points now than last year seeing as Rubio can't shoot worth a crap and there are concerns that Hayward is going to leave. Up in the air on this one as they have not yet retained their star player.
OKC definitely got better and got a top 5 SF, but is it a 1 year rental? George has got to love playing with Russ or this ends up being a lateral move at best.
LA clippers spending big on Blake, that's a lot of money for a guy who has been injured quite a bit recently. Glad it wasn't us. Redick is probably gone. Clippers will be fighting for 8th spot at best next year, most likely out of the playoff picture. Jordan will be way worse now that most of his offense went to Houston.
Warriors signing Steph to a crazy contract but that's what everyone expected. What else can you do as a franchise... he brought them back to relevancy and now utter domination. Iggy might leave and will probably leave as he can get far more money elsewhere. Who will take his place?
Indiana got fleeced in the PG trade. Top 14 protected? That blows. Makes our trade look brilliant, almost. Not sure what their plan is right now.
Bulls also got fleeced in their trade, but they definitely got better assets than Indiana. They are going full rebuild right now.
The Kings have not done anything.... to be continued.
Who would you rather throw 2 years and 50M at:
I vote Iggy.
- Iggy
- Gallinari
- None of the Above

One thing is for sure... this FA list is garbage.
Pretty much. To fill our void at SF we are looking at:
This is why I think we should try to pry Crowder loose from BOS, though Paul George going to OKC hurt those odds, from very slim to extremely slim.
- Iggy (33 year old, prob wants max for 2 years)
- Gallinari (ACL, projects as a stretch PF as he approaches 30)
- Simmons (bit undersized, performance maximized with Spurs?)
- Gay (Achilles, no defense)
- Otto (pipe dream)

So I guess we should expect a Ben McLemore 4 year / 50 million announcement soon![]()
Well when the Bulls are paying 4 years 32 million to this guy Cristiano, what is outrageous? I would most likely take Ben instead at the same salary as Cristiano. Of course I would rather have Livingston at 3 years 24 million

As LeBron tweeted don't go sleeping on Ben, I wish the kid wellSnell signed for what - 4 years and $46 million?
Ben has played in exactly the same number of games as Snell, has nearly identical stats and is a year and a half older.
Snell benefitted from being a good fit in Milwaukee and showing some signs of life this last season.
Ben actually shot the ball really well after the Cousins trade but I'm not sure what team is going to view him as a worthwhile reclamation project.
I think he'll get a 3 or 4 year deal averaging $9-10 million.

Not seeing it with Simmons? He has the measurements of a SG and will be 28 and his regular season stats were underwhelming..
Yep....$7 mill per is now a good conservative contract.Well no wonder he opted out now, crazy.
He can play SF easily. He's strong enough to guard some PF's.
