GSW are positioning themselves to offer a 1 + 1 just under the max to Iggy. So whether he leaves GSW will depend how much of that second year he wants guaranteed (partial or fully). For the Kings to steal him away would probably require going all-in on the second year. So talking about 1/25 vs 2/50 or somewhere in between.
I wonder if George and Butler coming West changes the GSW perspective? Especially if the Wolves add Millsap all of the sudden that is a LOADED team with nice mix of youth and veterans. Iggy value may go up in anticipation of facing likes of George, Wiggins and Butler in playoffs.

Agree! Patrick Patterson is an undersized gunner who logged 53% TS and 54% TS last two seasons. He barely moves needle. He would be more roster filler as so many inconsequential players who have passed in and out of Sacramento before. Pass!
Keep in mind that's less than the NBA average salary by around $1.5-2 million in the first year.

This isn't our fathers NBA, the times and the salaries are a changing. Plus good kids who play hard defense and can shoot the 3 are pretty valuable in this league

No, but you did miss the point. I simply dropped the 76ers name as an example of a team that wasn't trying to win. And they weren't.
Call me silly, but no fan base wants to pay for tickets for 4 years to see intentional losing by fielding
Sam Hinkie is worshiped in Philly. I think their fanbase is more than happy with Fultz, Embiid, Simmons, Saric, Convington, McConnel, TCL, Holmes with flexibility and future assets.

Iggy is fine but I don't know why we would covet him enough to break the bank, He can't even shoot threes and free throws. He's past his prime. He dissed us in the past and is only talking to us now because he thinks we may be stupid enough to treat him like a star while most of his other suitors want him in his GS role. He's a bench player. Back to Oakland for all I care.
I'm more intrigued at the interest in Gallinari. Good outside shooter. Can ISO and play in the flow of offense. Gets to the line. His ability to move between SF and PF Is more valuable to our needs than Iggy being a guy who plays minutes at SG and SF. Gallo allows us to play him his 35 minutes while not directly dog housing one of our younger wings. Plus, he may still not have hit his peak as an offensive force.

Yeah, I'm sure they all appreciated watching the team lose 60-70 games for the past 4 seasons. Who wouldn't worship that?? And then they still just have a good team on paper. An injury prone one at that.
If Hinkie was was a great GM, he would have been able to build a good team no matter where the team was drafting in the lottery and via FA. But apparently he felt he could only do so with a 25% chance at the #1 pick every single year and at the fans expense. What a brilliant mind. It's amazing that he doesn't have a job right now and is still available.

Everything I read seems to point to the west getting stronger and east weaker. NBA should have changed the d-league to the eastern conference or E-league

Pretty much. To fill our void at SF we are looking at:
- Iggy (33 year old, prob wants max for 2 years)
- Gallinari (ACL, projects as a stretch PF as he approaches 30)
- Simmons (bit undersized, performance maximized with Spurs?)
- Gay (Achilles, no defense)
- Otto (pipe dream)

As far as I'm concerned, no reason not make an offer to Porter. If the wiz match, so be it, but at least force their hand. Haven't heard any indication that we're interested though.
Should add Tucker to your list, given that we've met or are meeting with him.

Well when the Bulls are paying 4 years 32 million to this guy Cristiano, what is outrageous? I would most likely take Ben instead at the same salary as Cristiano. Of course I would rather have Livingston at 3 years 24 million
Snell signed for what - 4 years and $46 million?
Ben has played in exactly the same number of games as Snell, has nearly identical stats and is a year and a half older.
Snell benefitted from being a good fit in Milwaukee and showing some signs of life this last season.
Ben actually shot the ball really well after the Cousins trade but I'm not sure what team is going to view him as a worthwhile reclamation project.
I think he'll get a 3 or 4 year deal averaging $9-10 million.

Part of that was complete misuse. I think we saw Pat in the post more than we did on the perimeter. They even rarely had him playing with Cuz at first, when he was the best option next to him.

Ben has not given compelling indication he can part of a successful rotation as a starter or bench player. I don't want him in my rotation at ANY price because for 38% on 3s you get missed defensive assignment bad rebounding bad defensive help, lack of physicality. You know this man, you saw for 4 years too! To command $30-40M like you are suggesting a player has to project as trustworthy on team that can with 45 to 50+ games. He cannot be a weak link. Ben is a weak link. The number of good things he does on the court is outweighed by the bad. That is as simple as I can put it.
Just when you think he has turned the corner, he steps on the freaking sideline and turns it over!
The bet teams will make is that change of scenery will do him well. Well, with constant turnover of players and coaches in SAC, he effectively had a constant change of scenery! It didn't seem to matter. He never performed consistently enough for long to gain trust or confidence of coaches, teammates or front office. All you need to do is look to Buddy for what he did with same allotment of minutes for the difference in quality of play, as pertains to efficiency, shot making, shot creating, rebounding, and clutch buckets (Buddy Buckets!
) I would feel bad if the Kings signed Ben to 1 / 5M so I certainly would not endorse 4 /40M with another team.

He has a live body when faces up with a dribble. He has an unorthodox aggressiveness and confidence in his moves. I like Simmons. I agree he can play SF and if we sign him would project as starter.
If I'm Sac or Brooklyn, I'm calling the Wiz on publicly saying their going to match any offer on Porter. Only reason to say they will match is to scare off teams from offering. Seems like they should keep their cards close to the vest and just match...... I call BS on them. Make the big offer if you think he's worth it
