As a ball player I'd prefer Gallo, but I think it's going to be a function of price years who we take, possibly taking on bad salary this year

Call me silly, but no fan base wants to pay for tickets for 4 years to see intentional losing by fielding D-League G-League rosters. And that lame tactic still hasn't proven to be a successful just yet. Even if it does, there's a reason you haven't seen other franchises do it quite the same before.

He played 17 games that year for the Kings. He's the type that should find his shot attempts from 3 being more than half of the total shots he takes per game. In Sacramento, less than half his shots came from 3. And in his first season with Sac far less than half. In Toronto they were well above that half mark.

If Hinkie was was a great GM, he would have been able to build a good team no matter where the team was drafting in the lottery and via FA. But apparently he felt he could only do so with a 25% chance at the #1 pick every single year and at the fans expense. What a brilliant mind. What are you talking about? They really worship Hinkie. They embraced the process. Im not saying we should do that but you claimed that no fanbase would tolerate that. I just pointed out that your statement was inaccurate. Philly loves Sam Hinkie and loves that he was able to turn a really mediocer asset poor team to what it is today.

Its a whole another discussion if Hinkies startegy was effective and I really would love to hear how you would have gotten them in 4 years to a point where they are one of the most promising franchises in the whole league with a chance to be succesfull for a long time. And I know they havent won anything yet but thats the whole point of "the process". If they would've, they wouldnt be at theit current position. Its a cruel fact that Hinkies way is the most efficent for a small market team. You dont have to say its a perfect strategy for every team but you should at least be able to admit that it was the best way to operate for Philly since their fanbase embraced it.

E: It doesnt mean that if you are not able to have patience for long term planning then nobody are. I personally would most likely have hard time for a four year full tank but I could probably take it if I could be able to see the progress. You should be able to take a year and watch how the young guys play.

Having some vets to "show the ropes" is most likely a good way to develope for a weird guy like WCS who needs to be kicked in the butt to compete but for a professional kid with good personality the best way is to let him play and learn. Justin Jackson wont be any better if he plays back up minutes two year behind an average player like Gallinari. Fox wont be any better coming off the bench. Or Malachi if he doesnt get any playing time.Havingids playing in marginalized spot up roles wont do them any good. Plus it would affect negativily to our draft position and draft is undoubtetly the best way to accuire a star player.

Really surprised at the amount of people that want to cut the rebuild short and sign a bunch of old high priced veterans to win us 30 games a year for the next couple years. None of these guys are going to make us a playoff team but they sure will drop our draft pick into the early teens next year instead of keeping us around the top 5 where they should be. If the FO cuts the rebuild short and doesn't get lucky with the group of guys we have, they're going to risk winding up in the same no mans land they were in for the last decade. Patience is key here. One more year.
 
We have 9 1st rounders from the last 3 drafts. I'm not to worried about one more next year. Let's just play. Get who we can get in far and start this thing. If you are already worrying about another 1st rounder next year. You just need to watch college ball and give up pros
