Francisco Garcia injured in Summer League!

Must have been in practice.

News 10 just reported it.. =(

pre existing bone spur
soft cast on left foot, month out

They're going to interview him @11 on the news
=/

Well, this could set him back a bit, but at least there's practicing at the facility and training camp/pre-season..

Knew about the injury though.

I don't remember Doug being that injury- prone. Yes, the twighlight of he career he was plagued with plantar fasciitis and other injuries, at his age were expected.

Actually, he added weight this summer so far... reading one the bee articles sometime back.

He needs to add some muscle to his legs probably.

While Cisco could obviously stand to hit the weights, not sure that is in any way going to prevent a bone spur (indeed I can tell you that a remnant from my younger years of relatively serious weight lifting is that I actually ended up developing bone spurs in my shoulders).

Best way not to get bone spurs is just to be a couch potato. ;)

Looks like I'm safe, then. :D

Ahhh, cool leather on a hot day.

What I'm not sure I understand is why is rest the only treatment, apparently? Wouldn't you think they'd remove the bone spur?
