Fox Sports: Not very many layups for Kings this season

Here is another article written by Charlie Rosen. I didn't read the whole thing, but I did catch a few points. One point in particular that I'd like to see some opinions on is
Jason Thompson is big and strong. But the game is too fast for him.
Admittedly, I haven't had much of a chance to watch the Kings so far this season, but one of the common notes against Thompson that I've read on this board are that sometimes he is too fast. What do you guys think?

I don't mind that tag on JT. The EXACT same thing was said about Martin his rookie season. The game is to fast for JT right now and he is overcompensating which leads to him looking as if he is playing to fass.

This is supposed to be a scouting report(Rosen's "article") on the Kings based on analyst from the MIN/SAC game.

Kevin will not always have 9 for 23 nights, one of the things that Kevin is known for is Efficiency. In this game, yeah his shot selection sucked for this game, but far from it being called "needing improvement"

Don't agree with John being the most complete player, whether Charlie is giving too much credit to Minn's defense or what. He is very stagnant on offense when the ball isn't going in his direction.

Bobby B. and Jason are both ROOKIES. To say that well one plays defense like a rookie and the other the game is too fast for...wow, how original! Neither are deemed the "superstars" of their rookie class, and both are learning with each game.

With all of that...I agree with VF!

Charlie Rosen is no friend to the Kings, but that was actually a pretty good scouting report, his misreads on guys like Thompson aside. I've watched the Kings too long not to spot the mistakes (Mikki and his shot blocking, Beno and his turnover free handle, Kevin and his shot selection etc.), and its obvious teh spots where he is making judgments based on only this one game + ahs not seen the guys play much otherwise. But I've also read scouting reports long enough to spot a good knowledge for the game when you see one. Most of this was a good analysis.

Most of this was a good analysis.

Any moron can cobble together a "mostly good" scouting report... as Rosen just proved.

Considering he writes just one or two sentences on each player, you'd think the number of mistakes would be fairly low... yet we get Moore's shotblocking, Martin's bad shot selection, Beno's flawless handle, Salmons' misspelled name, etc.

A point guard who commits a turnover over one out of every three possessions "mostly" takes care of the ball.

Rosen analysis = power rankings

I won't waste my breath on this. A little truth sprinkled in with a bunch of crap, and generalitys. Out!
