I started to think that this was an odd circumstance with Napear getting into a tiff with a player, since generally when he starts throwing a guy under the bus it's a clear sign that that player is getting moved and he has marching orders from on high. Clearly that can't be the case here since the trade deadline has passed and obviously he has no knowledge of what either potential ownership group plans to do or if he'll even be employed by the franchise after this season.
But then I recalled him getting into it with a few other players in the past. Remember him questioning the extent of Bobby Jackson's abdominal injury? Really bizarre. And if memory serves he and CWebb had bad blood before Webber was traded, with that just intensifying things.
Look, DeMarcus has some obvious issues and quite honestly they have to be addressed for him to have any chance of being part of a winning team especially since right now his teammates can't even depend on him to not lose his cool or get ejected on a night to night basis. That trust level needs to be there for DMC and this team to grow. But technical fouls, ejections, even yelling at Sean Elliot (possibly his most egregious offense thus far) all pale in comparison to DUIs, domestic abuse charges, bar fights, drug busts and other off the court transgressions that seemingly get swept under the rug if a guy can play and seem like a good guy on the court. Napear needs to let his personal vendetta drop and cut the kid some slack.
