my birthday was okay...

not exactly one for the record books or anything like that, but i can't complain too much...

life's been, admittedly, kinda crazy...

lotsa personal upheaval, which, yes, has lead to some of my best poetry to date...



during my kingsfans.com hiatus, i have been published in several successful journals, performed spoken word poetry at countless northern california venues, and even made some significant $$$ in the process (which is never a bad thing for a poor college student like myself)...

but, in spite of all my artistic successes, a recent battle with what doctors diagnose as "bipolar disorder" has left me a very humbled individual...

i don't know that i like such a clinical classification for emotional issues, but, regardless of whatever it is that's really goin' on inside me, i did want to say thank you for the birthday wishes, even though i'm several weeks late to my own birthday thread...



it was really nice of a few of you to stop and wish me a happy birthday in spite of the fact that i haven't been around in what feels like forever...

i've missed a lotta good basketball and a lotta good basketball talk in that period of time, but i'm still a kings fan for life, and i imagine i'll be around more often now that i've got internet access at my apartment...



anyway, i figured it was better to drop in here rather than create a lame new thread to announce any kind of triumphant return to KF.com, but i've missed the best fans in the world, even if our team is in its own state of upheaval...

Nice to see you Padrino and congratulations on the success with your poetry. If the doctors have diagnosed you correctly, at least there is treatment. I have a cousin with biploar disorder and he's wildly successful in life. I wish the same for you.
