Republic beat the Chivas USA reserves today. Nice.

Portland-Seattle had everything for the casual/non-fan. 8 goals. 1 too many. *sigh*

That match should have been the final. Players on both sides play for the local women's club team so it was tough to see someone I like lose.

I did enjoy seeing Ariane Hingst have to moonwalk in the post-match, after saying the whole tournament that Germany was the better team, and they would beat the United States.

at least the Women's soccer team made it this far....can't say the same for Men's.

We kind of put more into women's sports than any nation in the world. Probably the top 2-3 combined.

England match today, that was just devastating. Would have liked to play them in the final, but they are Japan 4 years ago. Amazing feel good story. So maybe it's nice to play Japan who didn't look like they deserved the win today and who isn't up to Germany's level but we have a ton of motivation to beat thanks to 2011.
