Think I forgot to mention Kouat Noi up until today. He sat out the first few games but just dropped a career-high in his second contest of the season for TCU. He's a 6'7" SF, with what looks like to me a very nice 3pt stroke.

He is one of the many, many Sudanese players who immigrated to Australia. I'd guess his wingspan is about 6'11" or more. He just turned 21 at the end of October. Definitely worth keeping an eye on.

Ppl will probably take this the wrong way, but I'ma mention it anyways, I remember watching Khris Middleton at Texas A&M and thinking 'he can shoot it!", I kinda get a lil bit of that vibe with Noi, the shot just looks good coming out of his hands, similar body-types too. Noi must improve his FT%'s tho. As a frosh he shot 43% from 3 on over 4 attempts per game, this year he's really gonna let it fly, so it should be fun to watch his progress.

My hat is off to Jay Wright. Somehow he's righted that ship and turned then into winners. He's an amazing coach. I don't know how he does it.

It's not like they did it by keeping all the highest ranked local kids, which makes it even more impressive. If I had to point to 3 factors one would clearly be player development, the other would be recruiting, but not in the way many people use the word, usually they are talking about bringing in a high ranked class, but Wright and his staff do an exceptional job finding talent they know fits their system and will develop into it, they seem to find a stud 3-star player every year!!!

the third factor is creating a truly competitve environment, those players at Nova Wright has them ready for war.. IDK how else you can explain how good Josh Hart was in crunch time for them his final year, he somehow has these kids playing like "been there, done that, seen it all, not impressed" it's FANTASTIC.. Ya can't hate on this guy/Nova there's nothing bad to say about em.

There's some magic going on there though... They have single handedly ended all the "death of the big east" talk which to me as a NY'er is glorious in and of itself. Syracuse can't hold Nova's jockstrap these days.

Can't wait to see next years team, Bryan Antoine, is gonna be by-far their highest ranked recruit yet.

Oh I agree completely. I think Wright is one of the best coaches in college, and would have been very pleased if the Kings had pursued him when they had the coaching vacancy. No one knew who Hart, Bridges, Spellman or DiVincenzo was until Wright had them and developed them. The longer they stay, the better they become fundamentally. I wonder how many championships Wright might win if he recruited some of the top ten players. But your right, he recruits players that fit what he's trying to do. You can't put a square peg in a round hole.

Watched the game, and there is no doubt in my mind, that right now, Morant is the best PG prospect in the coming draft. He was very impressive, and he reminds me of Fox in how he attacks the basket. The five assists look good, but he also had 10 turnovers. Not so good. He needs to tighten up is handle a bit and he needs to improve his shot selection. He went 0 for 5 from the three as well. Just one game and I'm nit picking. He's a talent, there's no doubt of that.

It's reached a point where I can no longer ignore Brandon Clarke. No disrespect to Hachimura, who had a very nice game yesterday, but Clarke is making a statement. He played 22 minutes and scored 18 pts on 9 for 9 shooting, while grabbing 8 boards, 1 steal, and blocking 5 shots. At times he looks like he's on a pogo stick. If he can develop any kind of game away from the basket, he'll climb up the draft boards.

Kyle Guy is going off right now vs Maryland! I like his game. quick release, pesky defender, type of player I'd be excited to see the Kings select late in the 2nd.


Bruno Fernando looks damn good in this game too, powerful quick and explosive, Virginia just has way too much skill and with Guy shooting it like this they can beat anyone. I'm not so sure about Fernando as a match with the Kings though, he looks barely 6'10

I feel like Ty Jerome is a perfect type of player in college who'd impress the international fans. 6'5" guard with a load of skill. His floater is LETHAL and he shoots it comfortably from far out. Just has a very nice feel for the game.

I'm not sure how anyone would have Tre Jones higher on their boards than Morant.

One of the best Senior prospects in the nation is Terrence Davis 6'4" SG at Georgia. He's a freak athlete averaging almost 2 blocks per game. 38% from 3 on 4.9 attempts per thus far.

Last night vs San Deigo he dropped 9 assists! This is the type of kid who might not get drafted but surely will be on SL rosters, preseason, teams are gonna give him a thorough look. He's plenty athletic enough to play, this kid is a specialist of the chase-down block in transition. Given the Kings draft position (or lack thereof) he's worth a follow.

I like Jones, and I think he's playing well. Of course the two teams are so different that it's not a fair comparison. Jones is surrounded by a trio of very talented players, where in Morant's case, he is the most talented player on his team. So different things are expected out of both of them. Not sure that Jones could do what Morant does if he was in the same situation, but we'll never know. I will say this, I think Tre is a better player at this point in time than his brother was.

So I don't think he falls out of the top twenty, and with the emphasis on PG's, I would almost bet he's a lottery pick, especially if he's able to show up, be tested at the combine and do the individual workouts. That's over four and half months away, and the recovery time usually isn't that long.

6'10 freshman big Jaxson Hayes at Texas stock continues to explode. It's conceivable he could go all the way into the 1st rd one and done. This kid is a house of momentum, you won't see much negative being said about him... He's got long arms and might be 6'11, might still be growing too. Extremely explosive and light on his feet, good shot-blocking instincts, tries to dunk everything and he gets UP.

Texas Jr bigman Jericho Sims is a potential mauler that might match with the kings, He's played well and is considered a possible 2nd rd pick.

Texas has issues at guard, they can't shoot the 3, for some reason Texas SG spot has been where 4-star SG's go to die. LOL I thight Eric Davis and Jase Febres would be better, not a fan of Kerwin Roach...

Yep probably not this year. I do think Guy is gonna make the NBA eventually though. Here in an uptempo system with a big PG would be an ideal fit for him.

the kid we need to give more attention to in this power combo guard mold is ASU's Leugentz Dort tho, he might be out of range.

Texas Tech was one of the best teams in college last year, and it's the same this year and 6'5" Sophomore Swingman Jarrett Culver's fingerprints all over it.

I have him mocked at the top of the 2nd round but if he keeps playing like he's been to start the season he'll safely land in the 1st maybe as high as the teens.

He's a player that looks like a perfect match with the Kings tbh.. He's changed the form on his shot since last year and the results are very impressive. It seems like he could very well be an upper echelon wing prospect in this draft tbh.
