Win is what counts tonight.

other than that we are in deep, deep trouble

Hopefully Peja will be back for Dallas(if he doesn't get traded) and we can get the starting five clicking again.

What trouble? I could not watch the game, just read VF's PBP.
Apparently, in piksi's opinion, we have to beat the Hawks by fifty points. And outrebound them by a hundred. And anything less is a "disappointment." An opinion which he is entitled to have, and an opinion which I am entitled to say is patently ludicrous.

Oh no! We only beat the Hawks by ten points; the sky is falling!

Well, just the fact that we allowed 102 pts to the team in which Walker plays center is trouble by itself.

If You have to score over 100 against Hawks to win - is trouble too.

Allowing 48 pts to a team that again has Walker as a center is not good either.

Other than that - Kings from the past years would have killed such opponent. noe we are releived to beat the worst team in the league at home.

All in all - something has to change quick - otherwise trouble

Did You watch the game ?

We can revisit this after the road trip if You want to.

Hahaha so true. I'm glad the team won and that Barnes and the backcourt rebounded well in the game. Other than that, theres not much you can take from this game. We beat the worst team in the league.

Piskimisim contenues. Nice game back, glad to see Mat have a big game. If he keeps palying like this Pedja can sit out the entire road trip!

I can relate to what Piski is saying,i dont think we need to blow em out by 20-30,but 1/2 way thru the 4th and you allow this team to get right back into game ,it's scary.
we need our edge back.against better teams, this games a toss up.I'm not trying to be negitive cause I hate that, just realistic.Soooo glad we won ,

Ooooo, can't argue with that logic!
The Spurs also let Chris Kaman go for 21 and 14... there is no way they can win a chmpionship!(someone please tell them)

I just hope the Spurs can find it within themselves to put that mediocre performance out of their minds and rise to the challenge of the Rockets tomorrow (and "LET'S GO JAZZ" against the Mav's while we're at it)

You need to show a little common courtesy and respect, piksi. OF COURSE he didn't watch the game. He's on a ship, serving in the US Navy.

I strongly suggest you show a little more common civility.

And this is relevant to my statement exactly how?

You have stated on numerous occasions in the past that it is your opinion that the Kings should blowout every sub-.500 team they play, and that if they do not, it is a disappointment in your opinion. Do you now aim to deny that this is so? That you ever said that? I don't need to see a game to know your opinion on this matter, not when you've stated your opinion several times in the past. I basically accused you of seeing the glass half-empty. And cracked. I defy you to prove that assessment to be incorrect.

I am not speaking from a "Pollyanna, glass-half-full" point of view; I am speaking from a "sick of your for-every-silver-lining-there-is-a-dark-cloud" point of view. Just because we didn't blow out the Hawks doesn't mean that we are in "deep, deep trouble." Now, if we had actually... oh, I don't know... *LOST* to the Hawks at home... *THEN* we'd probably be in "deep, deep trouble." Or, if we'd won, but lost one of our key players for the rest of the season, *THEN* we'd be in "deep, deep trouble." Winning a game by double-digits without one of your two best players is not grounds for "deep, deep trouble."

I am not elated that we beat the Hawks, but...

Oh wait. Yes, I am. The Kings stopped their slide. They played, for the most part, pretty good ball. I saw defense, I saw focus, I saw hustle.

I also saw Harrington do the impossible and sink three after three, something that is to be expected by at least one player on a mediocre to poor team whenever they play the Kings.

Matt Barnes is coming along quite nicely and had a GREAT NIGHT. Webber was GOOD!!!! Bibby, even with his foot still not 100%, was able to move and move fairly well. Miller had a decent game. It was apparent Cat had finally gotten a bit of practice because he looked a lot more comfortable out there. I also saw Adelman a lot more animated and not sitting back just letting the team work through their slow spots. I saw a lot to be hopeful about.

I'm totally baffled by some of the comments in here. Geez, people. :(

As the title of the thread states, it's the first step in the right direction.

i really liked is use of timeouts...usually you are right he just lets the team work through their slow spots or their poor defense spots...but each time that ATL went on a run...he called a TO...at one point when they were up by double digits for awhile and allowed ATL to get it down to single digits (9 to be exact) he called a TO...usually he wouldn't call one until like it gets to 5 or 6

thx for mentioning RA
