Fire Christie

Dumbest post. Fire Doug, and WHO ON EARTH IS TAKING THIS JOB ??? 🤣 🤣 🤣

That's not the point, the point is it keeps the dogs off Perry's trail a little longer. No coach is taking a group of players just waiting to be released from this dumpster fire anywhere. Ain't happening. All they have to do is get the young guys on the floor and develop. Christie can't even do that right from the looks of it unfortunately.

He's perfect for the tank, just keep Keon out of his doghouse and bench the vets. Their value wouldn't dwindle down, they have nothing to prove, everyone knows them.

Admittedly, I’ve not watched this team play lately and have only seen a few plays here and there. But if DC is as bad as the OP and others suggest — you’d think they’d over-the-moon about it.

The pro-tank crowd seemingly finally has their tank commander and roster that’s dreadful enough to land top 3 lottery odds yet they still aren’t happy. Go figure.

There’s no point in firing Christie. This team needs to tank, so if he’s a bad coach - great, we’ll lose more games. But I can’t even fairly judge him yet with this ugly slop of a roster.

Perry ****ing sucks too I don’t care if he got a potential role player in the 20’s dude prioritized and outbid nobody for Schroeder who everyone knew was a below average player. Trades Jonas for nothing but isn’t tanking and wants to trade Carter for a bag of chips without seeing him play. But but he got connections ya that helped when we got Kuminga who wanted to come here like fox wanted San Antonio but crap ain’t happen

I've said it before and I'll say it again: there's losing in the manner the Kings are currently losing, and then there's losing well. You can angle for a top draft pick while not becoming a national embarrassment with a rotation heavy on apathy and lacking any semblance of chemistry or desire to coalesce as a team. Instead, maybe prioritize minutes for the younger talent on the roster, who aren't likely to move the needle in the win column, but will surely compete in a manner far less humiliating than... whatever that was tonight. "Tanking" doesn't have to mean the absolute obliteration of your franchise's reputation.

I want to start the FIRE PERRY thread because that jerk deserves the hate way more than Doug.

Doug’s situation makes me so salty, this is going to be what he’s remembered by and it isn’t remotely his fault.

The Dennis Schroeder signing is disgusting. Even if he was playing halfway decent, it wasn’t at all necessary to add an oldhead vet role player to the third oldest roster in basketball. And it certainly wasn’t necessary to trade away a somewhat useful piece to save money to make this utterly unnecessary move.

That's true and while there is tanking, this is getting to the point where even if Perry is using DC as a shield this is going to splash back so hard on him that it's inevitable. The benefit about this is then Perry is at least exposed to the elements. Then the real clock starts ticking.
Yup and though Perry is far from perfect and has already proven that, he deserves more time. The dude just walked in the door and we’re about a month out from being able to make certain trades anyhow. The “tank” crowd should be elated with all of these losses.

I’d love for the younger guys to develop and for Keegan to be featured more and i don’t think we’re far away from that being a reality. Folks are just going to have to detach for a while and endure some more ugliness before the trade deadline and eventually the offseason. Sucks to hear, but we’re gonna have to be patient yet again.

I agree with you and we still haven’t seen them play even 20 games yet. I’m all for everything you said and hopefully it can happen sooner than later but the fact that it’s still November and I’m kind of numb to all this, i guess that’s why I’m not shaking my fists at the sky in agony.

Most of these apathetic older guys ain’t gonna be here for long.

One can only hope.

Don’t forget the Westbrook bull crap what’s the point even if we made the playoffs with him so what he’d have reduced Keon and carters minuets to garbage time. What has perry even done?? All I see from our media is that he went to NY and traded everyone in two years lol ok then what? The Knicks didn’t bring him back now the idiot owners just hires him without talking to anyone

Don't disagree at all. Perry and Doug are both off to disaster starts.

We'll see what Perry does at the deadline. But his grade is only slightly ahead of Doug, because of the Nique acquisition and grabbing Raynaud

No point. Unfortunately, the legacy hire has destroyed the memory of yet another beloved King from the ‘golden’ years. I mean, maybe we are better off moving on to Bobby Jackson now just to cover him in this stench to get it over with once and for all. Next thing you know, Brad Miller is going to morph from our lovable courtside teddy bear into the puking kings fan.

I haven’t been on the boards for a minute just because I know everyone’s pissed like a big dog. But am I honestly, the only person who thinks Christie Has been dealt a unfair hand? I mean holy crap, they don’t even get what the team needs , we need PFs and yet they keep bringing in shooting guards by the tons WTH (and vets) The youngsters are dying to get out there and play !! Isn’t that what the goal I thought had been? was get some younger players and rebuild?

I would love to bench the vets btw but I've heard questions if by benching them we could actually run afoul of the anti-tank rules. 🤣
