Faith. Here is my question: Why does Rick Adelman's coaching philosophy have so much faith in his starters that he let's them play through long slumps of poor shooting and no hustle, but has so little faith in bench players that if they have one off game or an off five minutes that they will be at the end of the bench for weeks before they get to play again? Is it a respect issue? Do starters expect to have that leeway? Do other coaches do the same thing? Is it a comfort issue?

I have to say in my opinion some coaches do care about benching starter's for they may revolt in some way(I have no idea why) while other coaches(like Pat Riley) can care less if your feelings are hurt, he wants people on the floor who are playing tough and smart. I see RA as a coach who will 10 percent of the time deploy the tough sit your butts down method. Personnally, if I were a NBA coach or any coach for that matter, I will play the people who are productive at that time feelings aside.
