January 25, 2006

Dear Kings Fans,

Today we made a very significant trade, one we are very excited about.
We appreciate everything Peja did for the Kings and our community. He is a great player and we wish him well.
Ron Artest is a terrific player, both defensively and offensively. He's one of the best and we are thrilled to see him play in Sacramento.
We will continue to work hard to bring the best basketball to Sacramento. Thank you for standing behind this team. We are grateful for your passionate support.
Warm Regards,

What would they have said? the Philly trio are "terrific players, both defensively and offensively." lol

We got it too. I was thinking the same thing about last year's trades, I wish they had done it then. But, this could have been in order to make up for how they blew it with talking on ESPN & trying to sooth Peja's feelings since he was obviously hurt by how they handled it.

I got it. I am not a STH, but I do go both games they play in Louisiana (not this obviously) and as many as possible in TX. I do think it has anything to do with that, however.

Must be some sort of mailing list on the Kings' website?

Maybe. I'm not sure. We aren't season ticket holders but we are on the waiting list. Ever since we've been on the mailing list we seem to get lots of communications from the Kings.
