Dwight Howard Suspended for Game 6

I thought this deserved it's own thread. Just when it looked like Stern was content to keep himself and the League offices from being a plotline in these playoffs, they go and do something like this. I don't remember the altercation in question (was it an altercation, or a rogue elbow?), unless it had something to do with Howard putting Courtney Lee out of the game with an elbow.

Either way, this isn't going to earn the NBA any points.

absolutely the right call. one of the few times the leauge got it right. safety of players goes above affecting the series. They are rectifying the mistake of the refs. Howard should have been tossed right there and then, instead he dominates the game with 20 and 20. He elbowed Dalembert intentionally, and Barkley got it right when he said it's basically a deliberate punch. Kudos to the NBA. Now they should just suspend Rondo

Yeah I agree with this too actually. Just because he's a superstar doesn't mean he's above the rules (that's how it is usually though).

Not sure if Rondo is gonna get suspended. The refs should admit that it was a flagrant foul at the least.

They should suspend Howard but Rondo should be out as well....doubt it'll happen though.

I am glad they did this. The elbow was a joke. I am shocked the NBA stepped up and did this.

And you are right, Hedo is now the hero of the series as far as Orlando is concerned.
