This guy is just amazing. 21 points and 22 rebounds against the TWolves tonight.
Who won?
with orlando''s luck i imagine Howard will get an injury sometime before the allstar break that leaves him in the Amare zone.
Well, I like the kid, but, no offense, if we can't have him, let him stay in the East.
That is all...
Wow. Amazing!
You know, I was thinking about exactly that when I first read this thread: On Thursday on PTI, they mentioned the anniversary of when Bill Russell grabbed a then-record 49 rebounds in a game, and how the record stood until it was broken by Wilt. Kornheiser and Wilbon talked about how those two used to get 30 rebounds on the regular, and alluded to how it's almost comical the way people make a huge deal out of 20 nowadays...Rebounding record...55 in one game!!

My memory may decieve me, I think Vlade had 24 rebounds game against Grizlies and also 10 blocks (not the same game I think). At that time these were remarkable stats, but not as big deal as they are today. If 20 rebound games in today's NBA weren't a big deal, they would be a much more common thing. Some fundamental change(s) are responsible for the extinction of 40+ rebound games.
Likewise, 10 years have passed since the last 30 rebound game.
In retrospect the Magic made a really good move by moving TMac.
Can you imagine if we had Howard playing alongside Brad.
Dwight does it again. Back to back 20+ pts/ 20+ rebs game. He has 20pts and 21 rebounds with 5 minutes left to play agains Memphis.

Lordy.
Me want.
How we get?
Kenny and Hart maybe?![]()
You know...as much as I like the youth push to team Darko + Howard, another thought occurred to me: what if, just saying, but what if given Darko's contract desires Orlando went another way.
What if instead of being patient, what if they took their $16 mil Grant Hill ender, their $5mil Darko, their rights to flakeboy Vasquez over in Spain, maybe a draft pick or some other little pieces around the edge, and made a run at Kevin Garnett. A run clearing immense slary for the Wolves + giving them multriple lottery pick bigs to rebuild with. And a move resulting in this lineup for the Magic:
C- 6'11" Howard
PF- 7'1" KG
SF- 6'10" Hedo
OG- Bonzo the clown
PG- 5'11" Nelson
6th -- 6'11" Battie
A move resulting in the biggest, baddest, most dominant frontline the NBA has seen since Duncan/Robinson in the early years while the Admiral was sitll great. What if?
