wow i cant handle Hawes anymore... i've defended him here and there because he's so young.... but when your 7'1 or 7 feet tall and your that dang soft/cant find the ball into the hoop from point blank range/cant hold a basketball... its gonna be hard making it in the NBA...

PETRIE GET ON THE PHONE!!!

Hawes is AVAILABLE

JT and Hawes

EDIT:

yah i love when the mods edit my posts when worse things are said on this forum sometimes by the mods themselves, what is this? a message board for infants?

Are you going to start a thread about everyone who played tonight? Cause thats what it seems like.

i dunno maybe... i figure we will be discussing evans terrible jumper plus hawes, and JT for the rest of the week....

Why this? Hawes did not play horribly tonight. It was JT. JT is the other team's highway to the free throw line, among other things.

Because Hawes is white and skinny so therefore he is automatically fiv times the failure JT is.

JT = even bigger fail and a BUST; get this clown out of here. I'm tired of people defending his sorry @#$, I'd rather have Justin Williams over him.

Yes because the best way to get rid of a young mistake prone foul machine is to replace him with the stupidest person to ever lace them up for the Kings (okay, maybe Keon Clark, Ron Ron, and OP were stupider) who makes Jon Brockman's offensive game look like Dwight Howard's (his ft-stroke makes him look like Rick Barry).

I never understood our fascination with Justin Williams. Ok, maybe during his short time with the Kings there was enough to be intrigued by.

But given that no team in the league seems to want anything to do with him, I don't see why his name keeps getting brought up like it was some failure of the organization that he isn't on our roster.

Probably because in the game before we released him, he actually beat the snot out of Yao Ming so, therefore, he was obviously destined for greatness.

every one needs to calm down....

you dont go do things we might regret later on. as soft as hawes is he is one of the few who can draw the bigs out of their comfort zones. and having another man who can pass aside from your point guard is a plus on any line up.

i agree it is disappointing sometimes to see him under achieve and that youth is always an excuse.... its really not easy when your the only legit BIG the team has i can imagine who he faces up in practice.. 21 years old. he's going to come around sooner or later. and id rather like it when he does wearing a kings uniform.

if were going to turn on our young talent at every turnover and disappointment we might as well not draft any young talent and just settle for free agency year in and year out

again

this is his FULL season as a starter... last year he wasnt the man till miller was traded and by that time the season is almost coming to a halt, the coaching staff probably gave up and he has fresh legs during those times. now its different...

Its very disappointing but I implore we wait a little longer. its not like they are 26 or 28...

I've already traded Thompson in a package deal for Carmelo Anthony in my fantasy league. He's just been trending downward after a hot start. Simply deviating to his mean of Drew Gooden-like ability.

I personally will vouch for Keon Clark. Petrie should never have traded that guy. He was an absolute class act.

are you talking about skinner being the class act? or keon clark

yeah skinner was great off the bench when i watched the kings games i usually hear grant scream BLOCKED BY SKINNER. most of the time...

Grant also proclaims every other dunk as among the greatest plays ever. I did like that so I apparently do in fact like NBA basketball.

And yeah I was talking about Clark as the "class act" since, as far as I'm aware, Skinner's biggest crime against humanity has been dyeing his goatee red and green.

keon clark had substance abuse I think... its kind of sad how his story went. back in those days our bench could have been a starting five in some team

Tetsujn was being sarcastic. Keon Clark is about as close to being a class act as Darryl Strawberry. (If you don't recognize the name, Google him... ;) )

Clark
Pollard
Hedo
Gerald Wallace
Bobby Jackson

Not great but pretty darn good as a starting line-up talent wise. Most likely wouldn't work though.

Here's a little info about Keon Clark, your class act.

On September 20, 2007, he was sentenced in absentia in Champaign County to 30 months in prison for driving on a suspended license. He was not present at the sentencing, and an arrest warrant was issued for him.[6] On October 11, 2007, he was sentenced to 30 months of prison in Vermillion County Circuit Court on a different charge, for not having a firearm owner's identification card and for possessing drugs.[7] The State's Attorney office wants the sentences to be served consecutively.[8] He was arrested on October 18, 2007 in Splendora, Texas by the US Marshals.[9] The prison term for his Vermillion County conviction was thrown out and new sentencing hearing was scheduled in December 2007. During the hearing, Clark has said he is an alcoholic and "never played in an NBA game sober", drinking alcohol at halftime break of games. He also claimed he was getting help for his alcoholism in rehab in Texas.[10] On December 29, 2007 he started serving his Champaign County sentence, and his Vermillion County trial has been scheduled for March 2008.[11] He was found guilty on the Vermillion County charge in May 2008 and can receive an extra year in jail. He still faces other charges, including disorderly conduct for filing a false police report in January 2007; criminal damage to property over $300 in September; and three counts of aggravated driving after suspension stemming from two incidents in March 2007 and one in July.[12] Yet another trial that he was supposed to attend in Vermillion County in August 2008 had to be postponed because he was in prison in Indiana at the time of the trial due to probation violations.[13]

In the six to eight months it takes to schedule a firing squad for Hawes and Thompson, let's divide their playing time into three parts instead of two and give one third to Armstrong come hell or high water.

There really needs to be a sarcasm button on here.

Exactly. I can't be sarcastic without the bite.

No offense intended, but I don't know you well enough yet to know if your serious or not. Trust me, there are some that would be serious about that post. Besides with senility setting in I need all the clues I can get. By the way, what were we talking about?

I agree....... I think.

I tried to give people the heads up. Both with awarding him the thread and this:

Bottom line, though, is that your post probably did enlighten a few who didn't know about Keon Clark's problems so it ended up being a good thing.
