[Rumor] Domas trade watch 2026

The Bulls GM is Lithuanian and they’ve been linked to Domas this season.
They seem all in on a tank. But...
Giddey - Ivey - Buzelis - Sabonis isnt a bad start

The other team i'm curious about is Dallas. Do they pivot to add someone like Sabonis? They have plenty of meh contracts. They still have Flagg/Kyrie. And they just got a couple garbage 1sts.

It's possible but I'm willing to take my chances. This trade does nothing for us. I'm not willing to do favours for teams anymore.

I'm not expecting a monstrous return for Domas, we all know he's flawed. But I'm not giving him away for peanuts either.

And id be perfectly fine Domas ushering in the next gen of Kings and helping them develop as an outlet/playmaking hub. If we are to believe everyone about how little he impacts winning too, he wont even affect the tank!

The rest of the jabronis on this team can go for whatever. You have to care about what Domas gets in return though

Not sure what the Wiz are thinking on this. Putting all of their eggs into next season's "big two" of Young/AD seems dubious. I guess maybe if they hit the lottery, it's an interesting transition year or two.

Seems like either way Deebo is probably gone after the deadline. I'll be interested to see if Christie can manage to establish an offense that can actually utilize Domas appropriately.

You would have been happy with that AD return for Domas?
Absolutely. bunch of exprings + aj johnson + #30 pick + a small chance at a 2030 warriors pick + 3 2nds.

Guys... What are we talking about here. Sabonis doesn't have a market. I hate to say it. We need him off the team. I want to make sure this team properly tanks for 2 years and adds 2 top 5 picks and develops maxime/cardwell. I don't want these guys sitting behind lavine/demar/sabonis for another year while we fail to properly develop.

But Domas hasn't kept us from developing our young bigs nor has he contributed to winning this year. Sit him and trade/play him next year if necessary.

The arguments with Zach and DDR are more complex given they are in the way of guys we can play but they are 100% also costing us games.

Or he could get traded for less. The market has spoken on him, we as fans just don't want to accept it.
Yeah. I would of held out for a FRP instead of two 2nds but I don't see a scenario where we are getting multiple FRPs without taking bad salary back. Not sure what people are expecting. Domas isn't highly sought after by many teams, especially with his contract.

Is Domas content with sitting the rest of the year? If he has that somewhat changes my calculations. The fact hes rushed back from injury tells me otherwise.

Maxime was a different player when Domas was out.

And then I'm 100% committed to making sure he doesn't play for us next year. So hope that the off-season changes the calculations for some teams.

I think Domas is worth their FRP, Poetl is worth at least a second FRP. I'm disappointed in Raptors for not ponying up the first, and Kings for not taking on Poetl to get another pick. But Toronto is first to blame if they aren't even offering fair value.

And why can’t he? If we commit to winning in 27/28 he would still be smack dab in the middle of his prime and if he was extended he would be getting a much smaller salary. People forget Vlade was 30/31 the first season with the Kings and closer to mid 30s when we were at our peak. If he can do it so can Sabonis

Less than 24 hours to go...tick, tick, tick. Is it time to start worrying yet? Younger, longer, and more athletic. Isn't that what Perry promised?

"I’ve seen enough: The Sacramento Kings are entering the first phase of an official rebuild. The franchise is for the first time going to follow the OKC/SA/DET/POR blueprint. A minimum 2 year project is here." - Carmichael Dave

I'm waiting...

It doesn’t sound like any of that is happening. The smart thing to do is sit Lavine and Derozan for the rest of the year.

(De’Andre Hunter is in fact longer and more athletic and younger than Schroder but I get you point)

I personally would offer to buy Demar out asap. If we can't trade Demar now, we won't be able to trade him in the summer. Can I convince him to take his full salary this year and give up 5 million from next years 10 million?

LaVine I get. Maybe you can trade his massive expiring next deadline. But I wouldn't be mad if he was bought out.

Vivek will shortcut the rebuild at the first opportunity. Guaranteed.
