I don't think anyone accused Kingster of being a troll. He, like myself, may be irritating at times, but he's hardly a troll. But to answer his question. No, I don't think it makes Tyreke expendable, but it does give us a chance to contrast him against someone that already does some of the things we would like Tyreke to do. I know everyone thinks that Tyreke's biggest weakness is his jumpshot. Its certainly high on the list, but I think his biggest weakness is his poor decision making. And at least for now, thats where T Will excells. He almost always makes the right decision, whether its passing the ball or shooting the ball.
In other words, T Will is taking what the other team is giving him. But Tyreke, god bless him, seems to ignore the obvious, and continues to force square pegs into round holes. Thats the bad part. The good part, is that he doesn't always do it. I've seen improvement in that area, and not only when the other team is poor defensively. Hey, he's not alone in that. There are times that Thornton thinks he immune to krytonite, and drives into sure turnovers. It just that Tyreke does it the most, and also that Thornton has other options available to him.
Tyreke, IT, and Thornton all have a little, "I'm going to win this game by myself" in them. And you want a little of that in your player. As long as its tempered, and doesn't interfere with team play. And thats the line that Tyreke crosses to often. I think he honestly believes that if he doesn't succeed this time, he'll succeed next time, or the time after that, instead of realizing that the odds are stacked against him on this given night, and he has to do something else to help the team.
Will he ever learn? I'd like to think so, but no one knows for sure. All I know is that he can do things that only a few players in the league can do. And you don't throw that away, unless your totally convinced you have a better option, or that his style just won't work on this team.
