Sprained ankle sidelines Mihm
Associated Press
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- The slumping Los Angeles Lakers placed center Chris Mihm on the injured list Tuesday because of a sprained right ankle, and activated center Vlade Divac.

Mihm sprained his ankle late in the second quarter of Saturday night's 95-94 loss at San Antonio. He will miss at least five games starting Tuesday night at Phoenix.

Mihm is averaging 9.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.49 blocked shots in 24.9 minutes per game. All are career highs.

The Lakers signed the 37-year-old Divac last summer, but he has played in only eight games because of back problems, averaging 0.8 points and 1.1 rebounds.

Divac had been on the injured list since Dec. 22, and underwent microsurgery Jan. 6 to repair a herniated disk in his back. He was first injured during an offseason workout.

The Lakers had lost 11 of 12 and brought a 33-40 record into Tuesday night's game.

So do you think Vlade will be playing??

That really sucks for Lakers that Mihm got hurt.

Not to mention several of my fantasy teams right in the middle of the playoffs. ;)

I have Shaq on one of my playoff teams and he's not playing tonight. I'm a little worried he's going to relax since Miami has all but locked the 1. Oh well, sorry went way off topic there.

Also i read the interwiev where he sait that he will play another year.
He said that he wanted to retir after this season but because he did not play - he thinks that he has one more year left. Also, he said that he is not sure where he will be playing because only Kobe is not tredable

Stinks that Vlade is activated on the night that the Lakers POs hopes will OFFICIALLY be squashed

They still have a theoretical chance ???

What a resiliant bunch of losers :D

Sour grapes, Gargamel? That's not like you...

Yeah it is, but I wasn't slamming my amigo pixie. That does sound sour in retrospect tho, but in my defense, his comment was vague.

I went to NBA.COM and when I saw that Divac had 2pts,4rebs and 2 assists I was really happy for him.He could really get some chance now and I hope that we'll see him in the Arco on the court more that 2 mins.
The most important thing for him is that injury passed.

Yea Vlade played! I was so happy to see him out there playing. I was just sitting half tuned in at the time and I heard "Vlade Divac" and I looked up and saw a guy the looked like him in #12, I'm like 'that's not Vlade' I was looking for #21. I forgot he was 12. But I was so happy. I thought he would be out the whole season after surgery..or did he NOT have surgery?? I don't know, but it's good to see him playing again..hopefully he'll be with the Kings next season

I'll cheer for Vlade Sunday!

(And heartily boo the other Lakers.)

But with them eliminated it does take some of the fun out of it...

It's nice to have one ex-King playing seeing as they're all hurt. Injuries plague this team and even when you leave the curse goes with you. It's great that one is actually playing, hope Chris and Doug also will be back soon.
