Did you play high school or college ball?

This started in a conversation in the Kings forum, and I thought it would be fun to find out.

So...did you ever play high school or college basketball?



I played high school basketball...two years JV, two years varsity.

i never tried out... we had stupid coaches that didnt know how to choose players... i played high school football instead... and basketball was something that i did almost every day with the homies.

Yes, all 4 years of high school......back in the old days when we still used peach baskets.

Played 2 years basketball (undefeated)and volleyball in high school. I actually prefer playing VB over Bball.

play college golf now. gonna take down the state championship this year. 8th in state last year.

Those of you who have been arround a while KNOW how I feel about most polls, but in this case since so many pups arround here seem to think A) if you never played organized ball you can't possibly grasp the game as keenly as an experienced player and B) That they are part of some selct elite who have played orgainzed ball.


(Played 2 years HS, not big or tallented enough for college but played some beer leage intermaural... coached HS ball 2 years along with Debate)

In HS I ran track/cross country and wrestled ... no b-ball

However ... I played alot of pick-up and participated in many leagues for nearly 20 years. I did Hoop-it-Up a couple of times ... that was fun !!!

I am officiallly retired and awaiting my call from the Pick-Up League Hall of Fame

I couldn't hit the basket if my life depended on it so I stuck with swimming and tennis.

Asthma gave me a built-in excuse to gossip with my friends instead of participate in team sports. I was on the dance team/drill team, though.

Senior year of high school, became a starter despite having asthma.

i tried out for hoops when i was in middle school, but never made the teams

i was the gymnast in HS. i kicked butt on the beam! ( hence the avatar)
