Is O'neal there with his team?
Piston should win, otherwise, I do not know.... And the officials would be a key here today.
Yes, O'neal is there. He asked to travel with the team so he could offer his support.

I feel a little sorry for Pacers. They could have been a title contender this year. They are now #7 in the east with Artest out, O'Neal, Jackson and Tinsley playing half of the season.

really? espnnews said they found a bomb in the pacers' lockerroom, so the pacers were sent to their team bus for a while. maybe i got things wrong. but i'm pretty sure that's what i heard them say.
What? They did find a bomb?? In Pacers' lockerroom?? That's scary!! If it's true, who the heck would do that? It's not even funny. I know Pistons fans dislike the Pacers, but come on..that's taking it too far....I hope they find the person who did it.

Apparently the pacers locker room had been searched 3 times for a bomb. This morning, afternoon and after the threat. No bomb was found.
Ok, I hope that's true. :) But still...this should not have happen.

Look at Artest's number until the incident:

FG 49.6% / 3pt FG 41.2% / FT 92.2% / RPG 6.4 / APG 3.1 / SPG 1.7 / PPG 24.6

How can you hate a player with that kind of production? Jezz.
When the commits his 143rd retard move and goes into the stands to brawl with fans.

NO bomb was found. As Candy said, part of the regular security at the Palace is to use bomb sniffing dogs. They had used them twice already before they got a phone call indicating that there was a bomb in the Pacer's locker room. Security was certain that no one could have placed a bomb, but they brought the dogs in again, as a precaution. The Pacers decided to board their bus and get away. They made that decision on their own. It was not suggested or insisted on by Palace security.

Lets use our brains everyone if they did truly find a bomb in the Pacers lockeroom...the game would not have been played tonight..
True dat! And all those people sitting around waiting for a game to be played would have been quickly ushered from the arena.....i.e. kicked out and sent home. :p

Your comment is stupid and it wasn't even funny.
I not only found it funny, but a good response to someone who had attacked for no reason.

Hey folks, we can disagree without being unkind or smart alecks about it.

Hey, Rock, I was not disputing your right to your opinion. I was simply stating mine as well.

Oh, and the second part was not about you, but about the comment that SacTownKid was responding to in the 1st place. Sorry, if I was not clear.

First I am not sure how a bomb thereat in Detroit is Ron Artests fault or has anything at all to do with him. He is not palying, is not traveling with the team.

Second this is the final peice of evidene necessary to prove beyond any doubt what so ever that Detroit fans are the lowest scum in the world of sports... essentaily the whale feceses of fans.

Third the NBA should take action, Im not sure what but perhaps make deteroit play all four games against indy IN Indy next season... something that hurts the fans first the ownership second.

you know what, this is not a bad idea. i doubt the league would do that, though. maybe they could make both games @ detroit vs indiana played without fans inside the building. doubt the league would do that though, too, cause they care so much about their relationship with the fans.

I remember when the lights went out at the Palace for one of the playoff games. Right in the midle of a Cliff Robinson 3 pointer too. That realy sucked. Pistons won anyways.

While I understand your point, I just cannot paint every Detroit fan with the same brush. There were a lot of fans (especially families) who were hurt by both incidences that occured in the Palace at Auburn Hills. There were a lot of patient people who were waiting for tonights game. It was not their fault that some jerk made that phone call.

I'll second that, I'm a huge pistons fan (after the kings of course) but you can't label all pistons fans as scum and feces.

Oh you are probably right, and certainlyh a lot of fine peopel are fans of the Pistons, Red Wings, Tigers, and Lions... but the number of atrociaous acts comited by fans in various cities fall heavily in Detroit's favor for the scum bag award. I suppose it would be MORE precise and correct to say that SOME of the Detroit fans are the lowest fans on the planet. But of course when wen talk about who the Best fans are we group them all toghether the good and the bad. When we say Kings fans are the best/lowdest fans in the NBA we have no troube including the morons who tossed glow sticks on court last year in the play offs and the folks that have never gotten out of their seats. So if gross generalizations are ok for praise why not aplly it to criticsims as well?

i'm not in favor of generalizations, but we can't poll all the fans to get a percentage for who are the good fans and who are the bad fans.
