I was glad to see Ray Allen getting hsi shot back but I'm totally puzzled by a lot of what I'm seeing. The Pistons don't seem that hungry - and the Celtics seem to lose focus on occasion.

I still believe, perhaps because of memories of long ago, the Celtics will pull together and get past the Pistons to face the Lakers.

I am most impressed with Rajon Rondo. That kid's got game.

Yeah I like Rondo too. I love it when everyone from the Celtics were missing shots and when Rondo got the ball, he went for a layup.

Good game...3-2. Go Celtics!

Bandwagoners!! Haha, joking...

If Detoit played 100% the whole game every game instead of only bringing it in the 4th when already down by 15 or more this series would have been over with already. The Pistons are half-assing themselves out of a trip to the finals.

I wanted the Kings to pick up Rondo. I hope Petrie is paying attention, our precious shooter Douby was rotting on the bench while a PG who doesnt have the shot GP likes is playing and thriving in the finals. -sigh- .

Detroit’s Rasheed Wallace was fined $25,000 Thursday by the NBA for using profanity and criticizing the officiating after a playoff game the night before.

After the Pistons’ 106-102 loss to the Boston Celtics in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals, Wallace went on an expletive-laced rant targeting officials Mike Callahan and Kenny Mauer.

“The cats are flopping all over the floor and they’re calling that,” Wallace said. “That ain’t basketball out there. It’s all entertainment. You all should know that.”

The Celtics lead the best-of-seven series 3-2.

Well gee, there is a shocker and something we have never seen before.

I don't think I'd call it a well officiated series, but the bad calls are most certainly going both ways. Plenty of ticky tack stuff on the Celtics all game long, the questionable hard foul call that lead to a Detroit run (including an uncontested dunk after a Celtics turnover on the following possession) and a technical that helped cut it to a one possession game in the final 2 minutes. Hardly one sided officiating.

This game is gonna get dicey. And if and when it does, I'll hold the officials responsible. Calling a technical on Kendall Perkins after letting Rasheed Wallace get away with blatant profanity is wrong. I do NOT want this game decided by the officials. If you're going to penalize "heat of the moment" actions on one end of the court, you MUST do the same on the other end.

...

Apparently people weren't watching when the Sixers CRUSHED the Pistons in games one and three of that series. Or how the Magic put up one heck of a fight with their assembled group of youngsters and playoff newbies. If if wasn't for a big shot from Tayshaun in game 4 that series would of gone the distance. The Pistons aren't flawless. Chauncey is banged up. Methinks Boston will remember how to win on the road (best road records in the regular season) in the next series and take it in 6 games. Did you watch the final 4-5 minutes of game 7 against Cleveland? Boston looked cool, calm, and collected even as Lebron threatened them with several big shots and plays. They played fantastic defense. Ray Allen didn't even show up that series.

I expect Detroit/Boston to be a dogfight, but Boston is the better team and they will win their first playoff road game in this series.

Bricklayer, Pacboy, Superman, etc. Read it and weep.

When you get knocked out by losing Game 6, at home, while getting blown out in the 4th quarter...you just weren't the better team.
