I don't think Cousins is bad. I just don't think he is the best thing since sliced bread. He has serious issues that in part keep us from being a winning team. His lack of focus after emotional tirade being one. He makes mistakes then imo blames others for his mistakes and does not bring teams together

Does he really blame others? When has he blamed his teammates for his mistakes?

I have never once seen or heard him blame his teammates for his own mistakes.

I have season tix I have seen it many times. He has several times made a poor passes to teammates and blamed them for not catching the pass. Just an example.

Hahaha....your are reaching. He calls himself out after games, gives praise to his teammates in post game interviews,....you defend Furillo and Voison and then keep pushing these tired and overblown agendas that your writers are pushing. I'm not buying what your selling.

This is repeated pattern lately on this board.
Is it desire for attention, human nature, same poster do not know.
New member comes to this board, throws off some statement that will be minority statement to get attention, then mixes his replies all over the place with moving his statements. No analysis whatsoever, just short statements/oppinions.
And then the rest bites and writes answers to right the wrong on the internet and there is a thread like this and post like this.

Would be fun, but this word play was seen many times.

I know that this is how most forums operate, but this one was less typical before.

Well new posters usually decide to write their first post, when they have a dissenting opinion from the majority. Because the most heated debate on this forum constantly evolves around our best player in DMC with the majority of the long term users clearly being supportive to Cuz, it isn't suprising, that most new posters start with a few "anti" Cousins posts.
I think it's always interesting to read something different. If it takes a few tiresome "the good and the bad of DMC" topics to maybe get a new, vocal user on this board to discuss the Kings - so be it.
A little more substance would be great, but do we really believe, there is anything substantial in regards to the good and the bad of Cousins, that hasn't been mentioned by our beloved Blob before? Those lengthy posts spiced with statlines I barely understand have to be worth something right? ;) :p
 
Lopes it comes down to would you prefer the Kings with Cousins or without Cousins? It is unrealistic to expect him to become stoic like Emmit Smith. Boogie is the person he is, fiery, emotional and loyal to the core. Every Coach always says "give me the fired up guy I have to rein in rather than the ho hum dude I have to fire up".

Boogie is a King and all indications are he is in this thing for the long haul. Vivek, Granger, Divac and Joerger are beginning to hit their stride as Leaders. We Fans can all see this thing building up to a winning organization.
 
The thought process that Cousins demeanor brings others down is either a slap in the face to his teammates or, if true, some mentally weak teammates. You would be saying that his teammates are so mentally weak that they get taken out of their own game by his antics.

If we have guys like that on the team, then they need to go. Athletes are taught to control the controllable and if they are having trouble with this (Rudy?), then those are the guys that need to be dealt instead of Cousins. Boogie is who he is and I'm good with that. Give me that type of guy. I think this line of thinking that Cuz brings down his team is by people who either haven't played or coached with those types of players. It's not,giving his teammates enough credit.

Ok we have the blame the victim mentality here. Look would you rather have a teammate with the demeanor of Doug Christie or Garrett Temple or someone that pouts and doesn't supports the team effort? Cousins emotions can be good or bad, but when he gets frustrated it leads to the team taking a step back in many instances. Yes opponents know this and agitate him on purpose which the refs should prevent, but just like Shaq big guys take as much or more beatings then they give

Well I take a teammate, who is 6'11 and can score from everywhere on the floor, is a great rebounder, a otherwordly ballhandler for a big, a willing passer, a very good rim protector and positional defender and average in the pick&roll defense, whose attitude is fiery to a fault and sometimes causes problems, but often leads to him dominating and destroying his opposition all day every day. Attitudes can be difficult to work with, but in the end having the tools to overcome the opposition is way more important and Cousins has all these tools.

Indeed. I can agree with that. I'd love nothing more than if he finds a way to make his talent work w his teammates for Ws.

This is getting close to Grant's cliched "GIVE ME 12 GARRETT TEMPLE'S ANY DAY OF THE WEEK AND YOULL HAVE A ARENA FULL OF SUPPORT!" argument. Talk to me when a team of 12 Garrett Temple quality players try their hardest to 10 wins in an entire season and we'll see how their support stands.

You live with Cuz's demeanor because of how damn talented he is. Good or bad, he's usually the best player on the floor. Can it be bad? Absolutely. Would the Kings be better off without it? Hell ****ing noz

I'd rather have Temple, Christie and Cousins together. I'd rather not have Gay and Collison...I think they both disappear. Is rather have a coach like Joerger who knows how to deal with guys like Cousins. I'd rather not have a coach like Karl whose ego got in the way and doesn't know how to relate to a guy like Cousins although he did reach G Payton.

I don't think you have any idea on how the dynamics of a team are......to expect everyone to act like Temple and Christie is not really realistic.

Rudy is very talented. What we need is an organization that utilizes the teams strengths and demands 100% effort and discipline. You don't see US special forces singled ng one persons talent above the team. Basketball is a team game people

I think he is referring to his hustle not actually 12 of him. There are many examples of low talent teams working together to succeed. I.e. Last year trailblazers
