I'd still make a deal (Thorton+Honeycutt?) to get a true PG, but it's a start. Combined with our draft pick, could set us up better. LAL does the deal for an expiring and the salary room- going hard for Deron in offseason. ORL does this deal to get young pieces with upside, and come out of this fairly nicely.

Let me try to salvage this thread. We'd have to help the Fake Show, but I think it would be worth it...
ORL GETS:
C/PF Andrew Bynum
PG Andrew Goudelock
PF JJ Hickson
Lakers 2012 First Rounder (they have two)
LAL GETS:
C Dwight Howard
PF/C Jason Thompson
SF/SG John Salmons
SAC GETS:
PF Pau Gasol
PF Justin Harper
Kings new starting 5, with addition of Batum or AK in offseason and amnesty of Garcia:
C: Cousins
PF: Gasol
SF: Batum
PG: Thomas
SG: Evans
------------
6th: Thornton, SG
7th: Hayes, C/PF
8th: Fredette, PG
9th: Greene, SF/SG
10th: Harper, PF
11th: Outlaw, SF
12th: Whiteside, C
13th: Honeycutt, SF

This is similar to the deal I was imagining, but I think NJ has to get involved in a trade here as well. If Howard doesn't go to NJ, then Deron walks in the off-season. A 4-team deal involving Howard, Williams to L.A., some young assets to NJ and Orlando and Gasol to Sac-town could work.
Also, no team is going to take Salmons. Either we amnesty him in the off-season or we're stuck with him long-term.
current starting line up:
IT/Thornton/Evans/JT/CUZ
Proposed by me:
Augastin/Thornton/Salmons or donte/JT/CUZ
Over reaction by some IMO. (btw I did not start this split thread)
Trading Evans for Augustin is still downright silly.

Can Augustin play SF?
Can Augustin play SF?
Can Evans play pg?
Can Evans play sg?
Can Evans play sf?
Maybe Evans could go see DJ play at the Y to see how a run an offense.
