At what amount would you take the deal?

At what point would you take the deal? I'm thinking anything above $50,000 and I take a hike, cash in hand.

How about you?

$100,000.00 for me.

Which, of course, is easy to say when its not an issue. Put me in that situation for real and I'd likely crack when they put $100 in my hand.

Nah, you'd hold out longer than $100. I think the consolation prize (the one they don't talk about but you still get) is union scale.

;)

I said $75,000 but I would like to think that I could hold out for more. I imagine myself to be a risk taker, but when it comes down to it, I think that I would live by the motto "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush." I do not know if I could live with myself if I had 100% assurance that I would be totally out of debt with a large amount left over and I blew it all on the "chance" for more.

I think the key to walking away from those shows with a decent prize is to establish ahead of time what you're going to do. Then stick to it... The contestant tonight walked away $69,000 richer than when she walked in the door.

Somewhere between 1-200,000. This show is addicting.

I agree. Extremely simple premise. Very little overhead and yet I'm sitting here, glued to the screen.

;)

I play the game online all the time, it's really fun. I said I'd go all the way- I think I would too. I play slots at Jackson and I never know when to stop haha.

I just played it online for the first time and 'won' $305,163. It came down to 2 cases with 1 million and 25 left and I took the deal. My case had the 25 it. It's a lot easier and faster to play with no tv cameras and pressure on you.

Haha, yeah and it's easier to play when you know you aren't really losing any money :p but I think it's fun. It's pretty addicting though.

The show itself is very addicting, but I really, really hate knowing that there really is absolutely no skill involved, except for the basic math required to determine whether a deal is good or not. For instance, did you see that woman who cleared the entire right side of the board in like ten minutes??? That must be the worst feeling in the world, knowing that you can't do anything about it.

At least poker games on ESPN have some skill.

i love that show! great host btw
Too young to remember Bobby's World?

Next someone will tell me, too young to remember <insert 80's movie or show that Howie Mandel was in>

Howie's career is pretty much at rock bottom, no offense to hardcore fans.

Oh great.

There go the last few minutes of "spare" time I had.

;)
