Dave Chappelle's replacement: Carlos Mencia

As many know, Chappelles show is no longer airing for many reasons.

Now we have Mind of Mencia and...

IMO, his replacement has done a very good job. I think Carlos is hillarious with the majority of his material. Some things he over does or some things I just dont find funny but for the most part I cant stop laughing.

I just wanted to get everyones input on his show and whether he makes you laugh or not.

It is sad to see Chappelle gone, and I really really hope he releases the stuff he planned on doing this upcoming season as a DVD of sorts. That will be sad to lose.

As far as Mencia goes, I'm very happy with Comedy Centrals great pick for a replacement. He has different stuff than Chappelle, but I love how he makes fun of everyone (other than Itallians, for the most part ...and I'm not sure hes made a real jew joke yet).

He is creative and makes up good segments. He performs amazingly, even though he sometimes delivers different htings exactly the same, which kind of bugs me.

Anyway, overall, I really like Mind Of Mencia, and I have a Season Pass on TiVo

mind of mencia is o.k., i've laughed a few good laughs. only thing that bugs me is everything is a joke on race, mainly hispanics, it gets old.

blah chappelle's show was one of my favorite shows to watch, I have to watch this Mencia guy I haven't seen him yet..

Carlos Mencia is not going to have Chappelle's impact or staying power.

His act is a little too monotonous. He can't shift gears, can't create or portray characters and has a couple annoying mannerisms.

I think his stand-up is hilarious and thought provoking, but his show is a bit of a one trick pony and I can't see it staying fresh.

I've only watched it a few times, but from what I've seen it is extremely formulaic and unoriginal. It may be funny, but certainly not groundbreaking or interesting and funny enough to suck me in and make me want to sit down and watch it. Maybe good for a few laughs, but I think that is probably it. Not nearly as good as Chapelle.
