dallas vs houston

The thing with Dirk and the Mavs is that Dirk can have a 30-40 game night and they can still lose...for them is they are gonna need help from somebody else...and this year is the first year that they actually have plenty BUT at the same time they have plenty of candidates for "chokers"

Michael Finley and Steve Nash rounded out Dallas' big three, and that was more help than the Mavs have now around Dirk. However, their defense is much better and they have some semblance of a big man this season (not sold on Dampier in the playoffs, but he's better than Raef and Bradley; plus, the Mavs won't have to deal with Webber).

I think the West is wide open, which is a good thing. I mean, if things feel right, we could wind up seeing a 4 seed versus a 6 seed in the conference Finals.

you are totally right about the west being wide open.

while I think my Mavs are gonna pull it off, it's certainly going to be tough - you look at every series except the Kings - Sonics series and they are all tied 2-2 for the reg. season. And even though the Kings and Sonics are the only series not at 2-2 I really expect the Kings to beat the Sonics.

The west is truly wide open it's gonna make for a great playoffs!
