Dallas/San Antonio - game 7

Well clearly Pop will have to be fired for losing the big games.

Oh..er...wait...or it Avery that will have to be fired for playing small ball?

Or...

Spurs expended a lot of energy making that comeback. They just didn't have anything left in OT.

Nice job by the Mavs to hold on...

either will do

im glad balky and crew are out. i dont have to hear those obnoxious san antonio fans anymore for the season. now come on clips. i hope dallas loses the next series

So much for the defending champion. Tim Duncan showed great sportsmanship, going up and hugging the little general!

Well, I was pulling for the Spurs to win, but at least Finley and NVE won't get rings :D

I was trying to think of why I wanted the Spurs to lose and now I've figured it out! Thanks!

I'm still rooting for the mavs. I want them in the finals. They have the best chance against Detroit or Miami.

I think a Mavs, Detroit series would be one for the ages.

Seriously, I was getting sick of seeing Spurs and Detroit all the time in the Finals.
No other teams in the league are good enough or consistent enough to form a championship rivalry. Rivalry >>>> new blood.

I didn't want to San Antonio to win so much as I wanted Dallas to not win, but...

:: shrugs ::

**** it; they've paid their dues...

Dallas will would play a better series against Detroit, than San Antonion would. Detroit is an athletic, defensive team, with a potent offensive attack. Just like the mavs. San Antonio has a decent offensive attack with a strong defense, and they aren't as athletic.

By the way, the Spurs losing is a good thing if you're a fan of their coaching staff, since this means PJ can be interviewed now.

I am at a complete loss for words. I've been a fan back when we had Ro Blackman, Derek Harper. I thought we could do it tonight but I was having that mentality of "expect the worst, hope for the best." I was there with the bad times - Hell I thought Cherokee Parks was THE ANSWER for our woes in the 90's!

This win right here is the greatest win in Mavs history - words cannot explain how I feel right now so I'm going to stop writing and just keep celebrating.

I'll leave with this: if it's true that championship teams rise up and overcome the road atmosphere, a great basketball team, and the HORRIBLE and absurd calls the refs made tonight (I haven't even dug up the stats yet on FTA's and Fouls called) - then this team is really getting my hopes up.

Cheers to ONE OF THE BEST 7 GAME SERIES IN HISTORY!

You say that like I should consider it a good thing... I *want* Detroit to win.

I wouldn't mind seeing Detroit lose IF they make it to the finals against the Mavs. I like the underdog. The Mavs are playing a great brand of basketball. I don't have a thing against the Mavs like a lot of Kings fans.

I don't have a "thing" against the Mavericks... I have a "thing" *for* the Pistons.

I am anti-Cuban, but if (and *only* if) Miami advances to the Finals, I will root for Dallas, as my contempt for Shaq supersedes my contempt for Cuban.

And calling a sixty-win team "the underdog" is flat-out spin doctoring.

How can you not call the Mavs underdogs against a fantastic Spurs team and a near 70-win team in Detroit?
