It will be on tonight I will not be able to watch can some one give a summary later please. I wounder if he will talk about whether he is going to opt out or not and what are his plans if he does.

I'm goin out later & will probably miss it- can someone post what he says? Assuming he says something significant. Maybe I should somehow rephrase that.

Mobley is gone. Mobley said he opted out of his contract. Said he did it for his family and the future.

Read this on another forum from a member on the an east coast, but I'll believe it when I hear it. This probably deserves its own thread.

Wasn't Mobley due about $7 million for the last year of his contract? If so, I'd be surprised if that's the amount that he is able to get from another "contender" in the NBA going forward. I just don't see another team giving him more than the MLE (although since Brian Cardinal "deserved" the MLE last year, I might be completely wrong here).

I just watched the interview online. I get mad at him sometimes duirng the game, but I have never seen him in an interview that did not make me like him even more. This was not exception. He did opt out, but he seemed to not do it with a bad attitude.

It doesn't matter about the annual salary I don't think, he most likely is looking for at least a Kenny Thomas "mid-level max" kind of deal that will provide him some security over the next 6-7 years or so.

We have another thread going about Cuttino and his decision to opt out and there's no need to have two going to discuss the same thing. If I merge this, it will really ruin the continuity of the thread so I'm going to lock this one...
