THERE IS AN OPTION! Its called Playstation VUE! The best thing is that you do not have to have a playstation game console in order to sign up. You simply need a high speed internet connection and a compatible device such as a Rokue, Kindle Fire Stick, Kindle Fire TV, Iphones and Ipads, or Playstation game console. Its starts as low as $34.99 a month to get a package that includes CSNCA. That particular package also comes with 70+ GOOD channels (No infomercial BS) including all the popular news channels. Also did i mention, NO CONTRACTS. Don't like it? Cancel it. Other points to mention, it includes a DVR system, on screen guide, and on demand features. They also have a "catch up" feature that allows you to go back in time and watch huge amount airings from previous days, even if you forgot to record them. I've been using it for about 6 months now and its amazing.
The only downsides are these. You have to have unlimited data or a huge data cap (like 500GB a month) for it to work because the service is completely internet based, like netflix. Also a fast internet connection helps. The interface is also not as smooth and responsive as, lets say DirecTV. Once you get used to it, its not a problem though. Overall for $35/mo and No contracts....there is really nothing to lose.
This is coming from a DirecTV loyalist too.. i really liked that company and their service, but in the end I couldn't argue against getting more features for significantly less cost.
