Cousins Suspended One Game

A dumb move by DMC, very dumb to hit a guy. He knows he has reputation against him, so he should stop giving the league/officials any reason to use it against him.

On the other hand, I believe the league is wrong here. Yesterday/Night before that Amir Johnson was trying to attack a referee and he also gets a one game suspension. If attacking a referee is one game, then a little shove which may not even be intentional should be a fine, not a suspension. That's called applying double standards.

Stupid move, NBA. Stupid, stupid move.

You're *this* close to making me say **** it and walk.

Amazing.

DeMarcus really does have a complaint about the league office's conduct toward him at this point.

The league openly says they apply different standard to different players based on their history.

This is ridiculous, but at least this is the league, not the team, trying to teach him a lesson. If it was the team he'd be gone...quickly.

He wasn't trying to hit the dude though is the thing. By the logic behind this suspension, people should get suspended for fouling another player

He was trying to hit the guy. He just was. You are lying to yourself if you think it was an unintentional play.

If Petrie wants to prove he is in fact not sleeping at the wheel and still has any balls whatsoever, he'll make a statement and blast the league. His repeated silence surrounding all things Cuz is really starting to pee me off.

Now, I do think Cuz could have handled himself a little better against Dal, but nothing he did, nothing, was worthy of a suspension, especially when Amir Johnson literally fights with a ref over the ball, has words with him and then throws his mouthpiece at him and gets one game. Even if the Kings appeal this, won't be done it time for the game tonight.

Let's see our organization actually step up here.

NBA is just awful. I wonder if Lebron or Durant would get same suspension in game 6 of the finals? heck even during the season
This is stupid. I watched the video. I saw Mayo holding Cuz arm back Cousins jerked his forward and back to break the hold. Mayo let go in the middle of the backward motion allowing Cuz arm continue more quickly in that direction. End of story.

When a players has a record of suspensions and trouble making, I think he can expect extra attention from the NBA and I agree with that. Using that logic, DMC will get higher punishment than guys who have been relatively clean. I personally think what is odd that nobody would have known what had happened if Mayo hadn't said something.

I agree that it didn't seem intentional. If it isn't clearly intentional, this punishment seems a bit heavy handed.

Looked pretty deliberate from Cuz. Cuz used his left arm to free his right from Mayo. Then delivered the blow. You watch the close up tape?

Regardless, I guess it's up for debate, and at this point, Cuz will not be given the benefit of the doubt (justifiably).

I guess that players need to start talking about every little thing that happens then? What does Cousins learn from this? he has a target on his back so make your shots count. Next time fold Mayo over....or at least hit him hard enough there is a reaction.

He said he wasn't and I'm willing to take the man's word for it.

I could make a long note of this but won't. DMC has a long history of being truthful even when it goes against him. Because of this, I am with Tetsujin. I think DMC is a man of his word.

I hope some day we will see the kings at full strength.

It would be interesting if DMC made it public every time someone did something dirty to him. I'll bet it gets ignored. As Wilt Chamberlain said, "No one roots for Goliath."

I disagree there. I was watching the Dal telecast and they mentioned it more than once, and replayed it more than once well before Mayo said a word postgame. It was on twitter before the game ended.

I asked this during the game and no one replied, but did the Sac telecast talk about it during the game or ignore it? Wondering, because the Dal telecast did talk about it through out the game.

But I doubt it goes to the extent it did without Mayon whining afterwards.
