Cousins Cryptic Tweet

#33
Everyday I see all sorts of cryptic tweets or facebook posts from friends. I've learned not to try to read anything into them. Judge people by actions, not cryptic tweets.
This. Whoever the tweet was directed at got the message. It wasn't meant for us. It was just a passive aggressive comment.

sometimes it's better to just stay away from social media. I can't imagine the tweets we might see in the off season that might merit it's own thread

Do we really have to make a drama out of every tweet DMC makes? I think Cousins has come out and signed with us for 4 years and has said he wants to be in Sacramento, until he comes out and says I don't want to be a King or I want a trade I don't really see the point of these threads.

You mean the last time this franchise hired a former player as a rookie GM, for his name / he was a winner and would figure it out with the right people around him?
Not quite. Last time we hired an aging fraud to be our coach, not knowing that he had no desire to coach and was just taking advantage of the well known stupidity of aging Joe Axelson to bilk the franchise of money, So he went on a work strike as a "coach", refusing to do any work at all until he was fired...but then with a 5yr contract we felt we had to keep him around in some capacity for all that money, so he got to sit around in a cushy office and play GM, which is what he wanted to do in the first place.

Vlade's a King at heart if nothing else. He's not here to steal money.

Naw, I was merely providing worse examples of bungling Front Office types for STK.

Divac is going to be all right, he is a winner.

Care to elaborate? I saw Jones' original tweet, but since then all he cares to post is about Cal basketball
He was talking about how he thinks the team can make a big leap next season, but then said "but in the same sense, we have to be aware of what ifs, you know what if we get offered, what if? thats Pete and Vlade's area of expertise. But i've had some great players, and i've never had one player that i have said is untradeable"

now who does that sound like it's about?

I wonder how many members of the Kings hierarchy would actually survive the riots that followed?

idk but i can already tell they are trying to turn the tide and get fans against Boogie so that doesn't happen. Like Napier's show today insinuating that Boogie is the one who doesn't want to play tonight and the fans should take that as an insult.........

Bill Russell built the modern NBA, yet he played at a time when salaries were minimal. One of the greatest of all time. As wierd as this sounds... he deserved a payday somewhere, somehow, from the NBA. I consider that as a kind of tax for the value of NBA franchises at the time. I think all of the old greats deserve it, with how much money people are making in the NBA now. Granted, it was before the Jordan Boom, but still.

Nothing quite says "Winning franchise" more than trading away the best center in a generation juuuussst before he hits his prime.
I've said it before but it bears repeating - I've been a die hard Sacramento Kings fan since I was eight years old and the team came to town. But if they trade Cousins for pennies on the dollar or push him to where he demands to leave the franchise that he has repeatedly vowed to drag back to the playoffs I'll finally have to give up on this franchise.

Ditto. Word for word, exactly. However I had just turned 9.

What?! Did that actually happen? I rarely listen to Grant anymore but him throwing a guy under the bus has often meant that guy was being shipped. SMDH if true.

THIS... is the most concerning thing I've heard coming out of this franchise in a while... knowing Grant's true role as the owner's mouthpiece.

i didnt listen to it but i was told he was trying to make it sound like the only reason Boogie isn't playing tonight is his own choice, not an injury
