You just want the Kings to make it to the Finals so that the Pistons would have easy pickings...jacobdrj said:It could happen!
KA_2 said:Not if they face the Spurs. But they could beat the Suns, IMO, if Artest has a great series and they slow it down enough.
Sac.Kings said:What in the world would make you think that they would slow it down? They will increase the pace if anything. They would not take us lightly. They would try to run us off the court.

Ron Manu, bonzi on parker, mike on bowen... that would be my choice

We lost game 1 in Sac by 3 points(no artest), we lost game 2 by 1pt bibby missed game winner(no artest), we played them the 3rd time with Artest, and at their home court and destroyed them by 10 pts. Point being we match up very very well with the Spurs, and I agree we have a better chance of beating them, than we do the Suns. Tim Duncan is at best 80%(plantar facitis) which doug christie had in 03-04.
The best thing about the 3rd game for who really watched it, is how frustrated the Spurs got(2 techs). When do you see the Spurs ever lose their cool, and get two techs? It is not very often usually only when they are getting outplayed and outhustled. Which is exactly what the Kings did to them last time we played them. Every time the Spurs would make a run at us we simply responded, and built back up our lead. We were more physical and were the Dominant team, they are scared to play us, plain and simple. Not only that they have no BONZI stopper, bonzi has destroyed the spurs this year.
Last point being, RON GUARANTEED WE WILL NOT LOSE IN THE 1ST ROUND-This being the same guy who predicted we would make the playoffs, after losing his 1st two games with us, and being 8 games under .500% with one of the toughest remaining schedules in the league. Until Ron is wrong with predictions, I will take his word, and the Kings in 6 games, and we will win of the 1st two away games.
KingCookie said:Logic says the Kings lose this series, probably in 5 or 6 games, although every game will most likely be close. The Spurs are just too deep, too talented, and too experienced.
G_M said:If the Kings beat the Spurs it would be a HUGE HUGE upset. There have only been two occasions when an eighth seed has defeated a #1 seed. However, I would suggest the Kings are not constructed like a typical eigth seed.

So, I do not think this is the typical "lambs to the slaughter" #1 v. #8 seed. I'm going to keep telling myself that until the bitter end!![]()
