As for the Suns, it's what I've been saying from the beginning. The most overrated team in the NBA, and I'm just waiting for the moment that dorks like Stein and other Suns bandwagoners fall on their faces come playoff time. Their biggest folly was shown last night in the first half: contain Nash and slow down the game, and get ready to pull away. The Suns' half-court game stands on very weak legs because, ultimately, they have no room to run. No running for them = little possibility in creating an open shot. Unfortunately, the Kings just didn't play the full 48 minutes, which ultimately cost them the game (moreso than any horrible call by the refs). When you let running teams like the Suns dictate the pace, it's hard to keep up, as teams found out about the Kings of a few years ago (and as we found out last night).

the spurs are a .500 team without Tim (at least) while the Suns are at the bottom of the division the conference and the league without Nash

I just hope this is the last straw that breaks the camels back for the Kings. With those scathing comments by Stoudemire at the end of the game, I know everyone has said maybe this will be the time on numerous occasions this season, but this may actually be it. I expect public a$$ whippings of the the Sonics on Thursday and Dallas on Fri. Than come playoff time.......

We all know that there were far more important negatives than a blown call. But this was a tough pill to swallow and still 24 hours later people are still pissed. Let fans be fans at least for tonight, and then tommorrow, we all move on to the next game.

Yes, the Kings have a reputation for complaining about the refs, and it's not very productive. I think many of the players have gotten better, but that's just my opinion. But in a game that was as important and emotional I really don't think many teams/fans would have reacted differently.

What is the big deal if a ref makes ONE mistake in a game? The players made NUMEROUS mistakes in the game and let the game slip away from them. Each and every mistake of the Kings had an equal or greater impact on the game result as the mistake made by the ref. If the Kings REALLY want to win a championship, they better stop their posturing playing "victim" and start developing some killer instinct.
Respect is earned in this league. You don't get respect by publicly berating refs, you lose whatever little you have. That is the reality. Is it too much to expect a player to use a little portion of their brain to compose themself when things aren't going their way? Dropping f-bombs and acting like spoilt brats is unbecoming of an adult let alone a well paid ball player representing a city. Be a professional, do everything possible to change everything in your control to your benefit and don't waste time on things that you can't control.
It is unfortunate that after the recent gutsy, scrappy wins with so many injuries, the Kings get to be judged by others by their whining after losses. We have a team that is capable of winning a championship. Let's put on a thrashing on those Sonics and avenge for the two losses they handed us in this season. Go Kings!
I could care less about certain Kings fans for whom whining and making excuses has become almost second nature. It's annoying, but as a fan you gotta have feelings when your team gets on the wrong end of calls or non-calls. It is understandable and ok as it does not affect the game itself. I appreciate them being a fan of this team on their own terms.
Kings players should worry about what they can CONTROL, be it making free throws, attempting to play transition defense, avoiding temper tantrums, boxing out and playing smart basketball.Elektrik said:

However, I really think last night was understandable. It wasn't just ONE mistake, it was a mistake that kept the game from going into overtime. Yes, each player had cost us many missed points during the game, but as long as there is time still on the clock the team is able to recover. Mistakes of any type (whether it's a missed call or a missed shot, or a bad foul) made in the last 4 seconds of regulation are obviously more important because there is no way to recover. If that call had been made in the middle of the third quarter it would have been forgotten long ago regardless of who won the game.

How long will it take Adelman to realize that Nash brought the Suns back into the game? He should have put Cat on him early in the second quarter, period. And theres no refs in the Suns comeback, face it.

Perhaps people are just seriously delusional about whether the Suns are a good team or not? Right now they remain on pace to win 60+ games. They dropped 115(?) on the Spurs a couple of weeks ago coached by that weak kneed nincampoop Popovich.
The sad part is that there is a kernel of truth underneath -- we DID play the game at the Suns pace the same way we used to play the game at the Mavericks pace. Of course now with Cat, we can do that. In fact I think that is exactly what we had in mind. Nobody can outscore us when we're healthy anymore (and lest anyone forget we STILL aren't healthy and will not be until we get back one of the 10 most prolific per48 scorers in the league as our 6th man). We aren't the old Riley Knicks -- we're the #2 scoring team in the league. We like to get out and go too.
As an aside, Cat had very little luck with Nash himself yesterday. In fact veyr few teams have had any luck slowing down Nash this year.
