How can I save a sound that I have web address for? When I go to the site, which ends in .wav, quicktime just plays the sound. If I try save as, it wants to save it as a html file.

Just copy the link, paste it into the Google search engine and search. Then at the bottom it should say "If the URL is valid, try visiting that web page by clicking on the following link: <your link here>". Right click the link and click Save Target As.

Or just go into properties, copy the url from there, and paste it up to in the Address bar of your browser.

A site can actually still try to block that, but I can tell you how to get around that too.
