Oof. Oklahoma City is looking pretty unbeatable right now. 23-1 and they're beating the Suns by 30 points early in the 3rd quarter of their NBA Cup Quarterfinal matchup. I had to look up who they actually lost to -- Portland (in Portland) by 2 points back on November 5th and that was with the Blazers putting up 40 in the 4th quarter. We're all cooked.

At least the Kings don't have to play them any more.

Ah, true. Not this season anyway. But they may also be getting 3 lottery picks in June to go along with being on pace for a 72+ win season. Not exactly the Warriors adding peak Kevin Durant, but if they find a way to keep this core group together once they all start to get expensive we might be looking at a decade long dynasty here.

It's a good time to be hitting the reset button. I'm not so sure in modern sports can you ever rely on a team being able to keep a core like this together for a decade+, but I think it's fair to assume that at the very least, for the life of these Shai/Jdub/Chet contracts, they're going to be overwhelming title favorites in year in and year out. Hopefully in 3-4 years, when the Kings have a young core starting to develop and ready to make a real playoff push again, the OKC machine might be splitting up or they finally run out of the FRP draft capital.

Unless they decide to package all of that draft capital for another superstar?

I don't think the Spurs can beat the gd lakers without Wembanyama, but stranger things have happened?

They have three guards to attack that disgraceful LA defense and castle is doing a good job on Luka who’s busy crying 99% of the game. Unreal that they walked out with Harper I didn’t watch him in college but this kid is legit

The lakers not having a single reliable bench scorer is probably going to be a problem for them as the year goes on.
