I think technically they could try to pull a S&T with Rui, Reaves, and Vanderbilt going the other way to make it happen. Even then, they'd have to be real careful of the apron and the probably five min contracts they'd have to squeeze in. DFS opting out would help there. But they'd really be basically LeBron, Luka, Reid...Knecht...and pray for rain.

perhaps for those of us who thought this was legit, may I suggest to the mods to disallow posting fake tweets like this especially since the offseason will be active and juicy

How do you propose we do that, short of requiring all posts to be pre-approved? The software doesn't exactly allow for blacklisting tweets from specific accounts; we'd have to ban the whole website.

the best approach may be to state to forum members to not post tweets from accounts that are known to produce fake AI based tweets

Obviously it's not like he did it on purpose. And at the point that he realized it, there were already replies so deleting it could cause some confusion. The whole matter is cleared up so it's not clear what is left to be done.
 

The Danny Ainge playbook:
1- Make a huge trade where you move all your stars for picks/random pieces.
2- Hold on to all those picks and random pieces without really doing anything with them.
3- Promise your fans that you’re really serious about trading them this time/you almost had a deal but it just fell through.
4- Trade them for less value than you could’ve gotten if you had just pulled the trigger earlier. Waste all your picks on random swings that don’t really go anywhere.

In Boston, he lucked out thanks to the Nets immediately imploding the second he traded them KG and Paul Pierce but the TWolves and Caves have been really good over the last three seasons since the trades so now he’s now to like three more picks from the Spida/Gobert deals and has a bunch of random young guys that haven’t really panned out.

I never mentioned that it was on purpose, simply stating an alternative to identifying false tweets would suffice

Harper is a tough fit with both Fox and Castle there already. At any rate I'm a bit less convinced that Harper is the obvious #2 talent in the class than the majority of the media so I wouldn't be shocked if SA decided to go another direction if they keep the pick.

Yeah, if they took Bailey I'm sure it wouldn't shock anyone. This is probably the Spurs doing what a lot of teams do in a draft with a legit number 1 pick and with things going down hill from there, see if they can still get a good player and snatch value out of someone else.
