Clippers Curse Reigns Again!

will this affect his athleticism? in my opinion a big YES

poor blake. and poor clippers....the will waltz in to that lottery for sure i hated how their representative was smiling all the way when they got number 1

theres nothing to smile about when you are always in the lottery year in year out.. .it means you are not doing your job

Lol? Training that weakens your body? You do understand the process that occurs when you do any kind of exercise before you see improvements, right? And if by "Navy Seal" training you are referring to his cross training (done primarily on sand) you may want to check out the article at http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/therookie to see what has been released about his workout.

The basis that his training is done on sand should hint to you that they are very concerned with knee injuries. The stress levels created by sand on knees is much less than a hard surface. Furthermore, his injury is a broken patella... which his program is highly unlikely to be the source of... soft tissue issues would be more common due to a result of unstable surfaces.

You may be surprised to also learn, studies have shown that focusing on low-impact exercise such as cycling and swimming leads to brittle bones in comparison to running/weight lifting.

How hard is it to understand that when you do navy seal training(which isn't suited for sport athletes) that it's gonna weaken your your body especially the knees and joints?

It's like settle down dude, we need you to be ready to check Pau Gasol in the post, not infiltrate a rogue nation and assassinate its military commander. ;)

needless to say - I was waiting for him for my fantasy team
For me, he is just one more fantasy disappointment to go along with the rest of my "lucky picks":
Greg Oden
Blake Griffin
Kevin Martin
Pau Gasol
Richard Hamilton

Sigh...:(

How bad would we be had we gotten the first pick and taken griffin? No Evans(obviously) no Martin, no Garcia, wow we'd just be terribly bad this year. Looks like someone was watching over us for a change...
But then we would have been in the running for Wall. :o

c-webbs bad mojo countered the luck of the kings to bring home a stud during the draft

I knew that when the clippers had the number 1 something must go wrong.... i mean they're the clippers

#1 Pick Blake Griffin done before he even started

I'm sorry, but I can't help but laugh at this a little bit. I was sooooo frusterated to see the Clippers of all teams get the #1 draft choice. Especially after that guy showed off the inside of his jacket with Blake Griffins jersey on the inside of it. I can't believe how happy I am to have Tyreke Evans on our squad now. Even if Blake weren't injured I still believe we had the best pick in the draft by far.

:D

I don't understand how it's the least bit funny. It's tragic for Clippers fans and the NBA. The league needs more talent, not less. Also, there is already a thread on this in the NBA forum.

I laugh at things most people wouldn't laugh at. If I see a lil kid bail off his bike I laugh. If I see a guy get sucker punched and knocked out... I laugh. If I see a guy who WE should've had in the 1st round go down for the season....

I'm sure you get the idea. Lighten up!

While I agree with what you're saying, the word tragic is a bit much...
He's not dead.

just like oden, i feel so bad for blake... all he wanted to do is play basketball. thats messed up for him and his potential future fans... i was looking forward to watching him play. living in los angeles i wouldve been able to watch all of his games. though i have league pass and would have watched them anyways.... two of the players that i wanted to watch the most arent playing this year, one wont be playing next years either. i hope he gets better because i still want to see what he can do.

get well soon griffin.

That should tell you something right there.

WHY were they playing the suns that day!? what did nash do to deserve that why werent it the lakers!? :D

LOL at the blake griffin bit... wonder whats going on in his head when he was selected

Did you not notice the words at the bottom of the screen 2/3 of the way through? Nash made it. ;)
