Clippers Curse Reigns Again!

Everything happens for a reason. I remember when we sent C-Webb to the lottery draft and we got the 4th pick and everyone was bummed. But doesn't that look great now? Cause for sure we would have picked Blake, no question!

just like oden, i feel so bad for blake... all he wanted to do is play basketball. thats messed up for him and his potential future fans... i was looking forward to watching him play. living in los angeles i wouldve been able to watch all of his games. though i have league pass and would have watched them anyways.... two of the players that i wanted to watch the most arent playing this year, one wont be playing next years either. i hope he gets better because i still want to see what he can do.

get well soon griffin.

What? He'll be qualified as a rookie next year?

Or is there some sarcasm I didn't catch? :p
Same thing happened with oden when he went down before his actual rookie year, he was considered a rookie last year because of the injury, same thing will happen with blake, he will be considered a rookie next year

How bad would we be had we gotten the first pick and taken griffin? No Evans(obviously) no Martin, no Garcia, wow we'd just be terribly bad this year. Looks like someone was watching over us for a change...

Well technically he might not of came down funny after dunking had he been in sac... I'm just saying....

See the thing is that griffins knee was weakened because of how hard he works out. He does too many workouts with weights. He needed to do more conditioning workouts with agility and under water stuff. He overexerted himself. So I think an injury was coming regardless of where he was playing

Working out is supposed to strengthen muscles and ligaments, not the other way around.

The warning signs were already there before the draft. Big guys with a history of knee problems don't usually get better over time. People said the same thing about Oden before he was drafted and they've been mostly right. Sometimes you get so excited about a prospect's potential you overlook the possible injury issues.

Did I say he shouldn't have worked out? No. There's ways of working out and strengthening all those muscles and tendons without doing heavy weights

I went back and re-read your post. Still water workouts and agility workouts do not do not replace what weights do. I do however, think he should have minimized the weight workouts and lowered the amount of weight he used.

I never said he shouldn't have used weights. I just said he shouldve done more of the water and agility workouts and cut back on the weights.

Edit: NME beat me to it. I was trying to figure what regimen he was on ;)

Take... these broken wings... and learn to fly awayyyyyyyyyy...

Next Number 1 that gets drafted by the Clips will pull a Eli Manning and demand to get the **** out of there. Has a player ever not shown up and refused to play for a team? I'd do it.

Funny how you equate his injury (and weakened knees?) to his workout regime. It isn't like the game of basketball has something to do with knee problems many players face while in the league and when they retire.

Kobe Bryant.

How hard is it to understand that when you do navy seal training(which isn't suited for sport athletes) that it's gonna weaken your your body especially the knees and joints?
