OK folks this is it. In less than 24 hours the Here We Stay group will be holding a rally at City Hall.
Below is information from the Here We Stay folks.
I will be wearing my Kings road jersey and military BDU cap. Also, I will be there by 5:30pm. Hope to see as many folks from here as possible and please feel free to say hello.
When: 5:30 p.m. (rain or shine)
Where: City Hall, 915 I Street, Downtown Sacramento
What to bring: signs, posters, banners and a loud voice.
Following the rally outside of city hall, attendees will file into the council chambers around 6 p.m. where a few folks will address the council during the public comment portion of the meeting. Speakers are encouraged to bring a positive message to the podium.
Nice speech tonight Mike. Very well spoken.
Is is the video posted on the city's web site for those of us who couldn't be there tonight?

Not sure. I was there, but I'm sure it is posted somewhere. I'll check.
Look at the post above yours.![]()

I recorded all but the first speaker of the Here We Stay "group" with my iPhone from my seat. Uploading it to YouTube now, but it will be quite a while to get it up and the link posted.
I'm sorry, but I was disappointed at the turnout last night. "Dozens" of people turned out, according to KXTV.
It looks to me as though few cared.
Excuse me, but where the hell are you located??? Are you within 50 miles of the City Hall? Fans are trying to save the Kings and yet you are very NEGATIVE.I'm sorry, but I was disappointed at the turnout last night. "Dozens" of people turned out, according to KXTV.
In order to have truly made an impact, it would have taken hundreds, at least.
It looks to me as though few cared. I turned on the 11 p.m. KCRA broadcast, expecting to see something. They probably did show something, and I simply missed it. But it wasn't very much.
Between the horrible situation in Japan and the torrential rain, the rally got lost. Just bad timing?
The article in the Bee sure lays out a strong business case for leaving. Not a pretty revenues/expenses picture at all.
Again, I'm really sorry, but right now, it just looks like business to me.
You've never been even remotely helpful nor had anything to contribute but negative comments. I guess you have never been the least been interested in having a sports/entertainment venue in the Sacramento region, or in keeping the Kings in Sacramento.I'm sorry, but I was disappointed at the turnout last night. Rock, I am so sorry to hear that you are another member of Kingfans with family in Japan. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you, your families/friends and the people in Japan.Excuse me, but where the hell are you located??? Are you within 50 miles of the City Hall? The only reason why I didn't attend is I have family in Japan and wondering if they are still alive after the Earthquake and the Tsunami.

I was born in Tokyo....so we are calling to see if any relatives were affected. Thank You for your prayers.Rock, I am so sorry to hear that you are another member of Kingfans with family in Japan. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you, your families/friends and the people in Japan.
5:30 on a Tuesday isn't exactly set to draw strong turnout. We'd all like it if hundreds could turn out to every event but it can't always happen. Some events will draw "only dozens" and some will draw hundreds or sell out an Arena that is normally half capacity. The important thing is having a constant presence and kudos to Mike and others for doing their part to keep one in effect at every city council meeting and every other public opportunity. It will only help draw larger crowds in the future.I'm sorry, but I was disappointed at the turnout last night. "Dozens" of people turned out, according to KXTV.
