Bench
According to an article in the New York Times, The Hornets are going to see major changes this off-season. One of those changes could be Chris Paul demanding a trade. I would be willing to give them our top pick and basically anyone they wanted off our roster for CP3. Just curious what everyone would be willing to give up in order to get him. I know this is a total long shot but if he demands a trade, we better be kicking their door down in attempt to get CP3.
"The New Orleans Hornets will soon be ousted from the NBA Playoffs and big-time changes on the court and on the bench could soon follow, according to the New York Times.
A year ago, the Hornets were the darlings of the NBA, a success story, whose rise to power was a symbol of the city's rebirth after Hurricane Katrina. That story, it appears, will not have a happy ending.
On Monday night, they were so dysfunctional or disengaged that they tied a 53-year-old NBA record for margin of defeat in a playoff game, according to the Times. The Hornets' sudden turmoil mirrors that of the Utah Jazz, another rising power that sputtered in midair. Utah made the conference finals in 2007, but showed little resolve in its first-round loss to the Lakers.
The Hornets already tried to trade Tyson Chandler in February, in a cost-cutting move. (The deal was rescinded after Chandler's physical.) It is considered a given that he will be shopped again this summer. Scott, who won coach of the year in 2008, could be fired, the Times reported. It also appears guard Chris Paul could force the Hornets to trade him."
