Checking up on Brockman and Hawes

I still wish we could of kept Pendegraph, he migh of had a shot on this team rather than Brock.

I wasn't very high on Pendegraph in college, and I saw him play a lot. He may well prove me wrong, but despite the size difference, I would have taken Brockman every time. My problem with Pendegraph was that he just disappeared in games at times. Plus he didn't seem to play with that fire in his belly that Brockman had. I will admit that sometimes a players talent is disquised, or hidden, by the system he plays in, and its possible thats what happened to Pendegraph. I have to see it first though...

That could be a possibility. I never watched him in college so I can't evaluate based on his college performance. I just liked what I saw when he did play for Portland sparingly, rebounding, hustling, dunking and what not. It doesn't help that he will have surgery for his ACL so that might slow him down.

I, like bajaden, also feel like Pendergraph had a tendency to disappear, or suffered from Kevin Martin syndrome. Rebounding and hustling are also traits shared by John Brockman so I really don't see what would have been different

They might be similar traits I just prefer a taller body rather than a 6'7 Brockman. That is all.

I really hated to read that Brockman had busted an ankle. He is a guy that is fun to watch play.
