It won't. The amount of data passing from keyboard to a change in the forum is massive compared to what happens in a chatroom. Also, there won't be as many visitors as they will not go there or at least are less likely.

I tried the chat JGar set up and it works fine for the purpose. Could be good for communicating when this board goes down.

On the other hand, if Glenn's chat room does need javascript, maybe that would work for more people? It's already set up, too, at least for tomorrow.

My guess is that without the visitor traffic, the board will be fine. Seems like a pretty good solution. If the worst does happen, people have several options available.

Yep. Tried it while logged in and can't see it on the home page. Can see it when looged out.
