Charlotte Postgame Quotes

Kings Coach Rick Adelman
It’s a factor, but they had a lot of people out, too. They lost people during the game and had people out before the game, but their guys did a good job. We’ve got to move on. We made too many mistakes and too many errors to win the game.”

“We didn’t finish very good. We played a lot better in the other games than we played tonight, and that’s unfortunate, but give Charlotte credit. Those guys played hard for them and they made the plays. We had a chance to win it in the end and we didn’t do it and they controlled the overtime.”

“We should have been ready to play. We had two days off before San Antonio and a day off yesterday between games. You have to come ready to play in this league. There are no excuses no matter how long a trip you’re on.”

“(Primoz) Brezec played well. Their guys did a good job. Felton played well for them too. He did a nice job.”

“They (Charlotte) came up with the big plays tonight and we turned the ball over too much. This caused them to get easy baskets. Charlotte played with a lot of energy tonight.”

“We haven’t played good basketball all year. Hopefully, we will play better as a team as the season goes on.”

“We had a lot of bad turnovers. We turned the ball over too much, and they were able to capitalize on them. They (Charlotte) were the hungrier team tonight. They played like they wanted to win and we played like we were ready to go home.”

“We just need to come out and play every night. We can’t afford to take any nights off. Since we are on our way back home, I hope we will be able to turn things around.”

What do you do about veteran players that make incredibly poor decisions throughout a game? For a team that is reputed to have great passers, there were some incredibly stupid passes last night. Along that line, I suppose that everyone noticed Kevin Martin call a time-out rather than attempt another long pass down the court to Bibby. I think that was a good decision. He thought about immitating John Elway, but reconsidered. Others did not show that discretion last night.

I also suppose you realize there were about 5 coaches screaming in his ear to call that timeout. And if he hadn't, and had turned the ball over, he may not step foot onto a basketball court the rest of the year.

I love how Peja is like:

Ummmm well we just real good team we just not play so well...(maybe you want to do something about that peja)

we turn the ball over too much(maybe you guys might want to stop wasting the shotclock for bad shots and making bad passes?)

we don't shoot the ball well tonight(well gee peja thats what you're there for)

we just need more time(well peja it's already nearly 1/3rd into the season you might want to turn it around SOMETIME SOON)

ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I hate when players always talk the talk but never do the walk the walk... Come on Peja all Season long you guys have been turning the ball over to much whats your point? very Insightful quote Indeed as if we didn't know the turnovers killed them in this game just like it did all Season long up to this point.

You know Bmiller you obviously have something personal against Peja, and thats to bad. You are dissecting his quote like he said something bad. SAR said almost the same thing in his quote, you didn't place much emphasis on what he said. Those quotes they say after the game are almost all the time canned phrases. The smart players the ones who keep it neutral. The dumb ones are the players who start controversy and always destroy team unity with their public outcry. Stop putting such blame on everything Peja does or say before you start looking at what your boy (miller) is contributing to the team.

I am getting very tired of reading this over and over.

Oh SAR's not any better when it comes to talking either he says the same dumb stuff. He just plays better on the court.

I take athlete comments to the media with a big grain of salt. Seems like when players do speak their minds (not trite), more often than not, they put their foot in their mouth. This team already has enough handicaps. :p

Tough lost! They played like they were just thinking of going home. Like what Kara Lawson said at halftime, the only way Kings would win the game is if they Gut it out...(which they didn't).

Please keep your comments directed at the topic at hand and NOT at other members.

Thank you.

This team needs some wins badly, and soon.

I love Peja's insight, 'Hopefully, we'll play better as a team as the season goes on.' What a plan!

Pedja should use this on his team quotes "Stupid does as Stupid is"
