I wouldn't expect anything different from Charley Rosen but I am ashamed to admit that this is almost a dead on description of how they played in the playoffs.

Welcome to the board! Unfortunately, there isn't much to argue about in that piece. I don't think I'd characterize Bibby as "unathletic", but otherwise, that was all too true.

Of course I don't like Rosen but what he said was pretty true.

I agree with all except what he said about Bibby. Millers comment was also a little harsh.

The kings get hated on even when they were in position for championship rings, so I can care less what this guy says.

Bibby: unathletic. Okay, sure buddy. Throughout the lakers run there were many great players that went up against the lakers and who was the one that had the lakers on the ropes and had kobes legs jittering cause he couldn't guard him? Take a guess. It was bibby. Bash anyone u want, but u better keep ur comments about bibby and b-jax out of it. I'm tired of these sports writers thinking they know what it takes to win such as heart, skill, detication, etc...**cough**jim rome**cough**. Its all a money thing, so none of us should even listen to what these lowlifes have to say about athletes.

In the world of national sports media, bigger mouths beat out bigger brains for columns and tv spots. Isn't that right Sean Salisbury and Steven A Smith?

^I know right

Is Charley Rosen guy the guy that use to like do Sportscenter and stuff? I'm trying to put a name with a face...

Quite frankly he was pretty harsh throughtout the entire thing not just with the Kings...and I agree with BW what he said was kinda true...ofcourse there was NO NEED to be as rude and truly harsh as we was towards the individual players...just no need for that...

Here's a couple more rankings from Page 2
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/050701&num=0

The toughest omissions from this year's list:

Mike Bibby (No. 29 last year) – I can't get over that Defcon 2 Stinkbomb in the Seattle series (when he made Luke Ridnour look like Bob Cousy). He also has four years and $51 million remaining on his bloated contract, which was apparently consummated at 4 a.m. after the Maloofs spent the night at Rain doing body shots off Tara Reid.

(But would you trade Bibby and Peja for Kobe? Hmmmmmm.)

Peja Stojakovic (31) has been exposed in the Post-Divac/Webber Era as someone who can't make his teammates better or create his own shot, as well as someone who may or may not have a pulse

''The list of ringless players who've been named to first, second or third All-NBA Teams but who are bona fide losers include Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Walter Bellamy, Karl Malone, Elgin Baylor, George Gervin, Gary Payton, Pete Maravich, Anfernee Hardaway, Chris Webber, George McGinnis, Alonzo Mourning, Connie Hawkins, Latrell Sprewell, Dirk Nowitzki, Tom Chambers, Vin Baker, Ralph Sampson, Peja Stojakovic, Rod Strickland, Derrick Coleman, Stephon Marbury, Paul Pierce, Baron Davis, Juwan Howard, Eddie Jones, and Jamal Mashburn.''

I do NOT agree with much of what he said, but i rarely do.
1. Off the mark about Bibby
2. Peja NEEDS to be MUCH more aggressive, unfortunatley he is not too far off the mark here, but a bit hash
3. Wrong about Miller
4. Pretty close to accurate about Mobley

I think he was DEAD WRONG saying that "These guys punched the clock, made a barely respectable showing in losing in five games to the Sonics, then merrily headed off to the golf course."

I also think that he is incredibly off the mark when he says, "They never were the kings of hearts, but now they're just another scattering of jokers in the NBA deck."

Nobody can deny that we had a terrible season (even with 50 wins) and we a have a lot of work to do, but he is wrong in his assessment of them as "jokers in the NBA deck."

I hate to say it, but I agree that Bibby isn't too athletic. His crossover is about as good as anyone’s, but I don't think he has that much athleticism when it comes down to pure speed and toughness. Then again, the most athletic point guards in the NBA seem to be scorers, and with our team, I'm not sure Bibby needs to be one.

^^^its not about athletism, its about being able to produce. Bibbys not the greatest athlete, but he does produce. Comparing skilled pointguards is like comparing skilled quarterbacks. Who has more skill, brady or manning? Mannings got all the skills and numbers, but who produces more? Brady, ofcourse. I know that bradys got probly, IMO, one of the best teams ever assembled(gotta remember there's a salary cap now and there wasn't one when the niners of the 80's and the cowboys of the 90's were dominating), but manning can't produce worth s***. Now bibby compared to s a lot of the skilled pointguards, still produces more than any of them so I don't think athletism has to do with anything.
