I know this is talked about in random threads by some lets see what the majority of the fans vote for. Its not far fetched to say that no one player on the team other than Cousins and Evans are closely equal in talent or has upside. Is coach Smart doing the right thing by consistently playing 10 guys or more a night?

Most teams go with an 8 or 9 man rotation. With 9 being the most popular number. Of course injuries come into play etc. As for Smart doing the right thing. Well I'm a results guy. If your winning playing 15 players, I have a hard time arguing with your game plan. But if your consistently losing, then just maybe your doing something wrong. I've cut Smart some slack from the get go because he's dealing with a very young team. Some of the players show potential to become solid starters or role players. But if you take a sincere look at the roster, and ask youself who would start on another good team in the NBA, you might be down to just a few players.

Going into this season, we considered Thornton our third best player. But how many other teams, good teams, would he actually start for? Be honest! We have two players that I would consider solid starters on just about any team. Cousins and Evans. After that, we have maybe three players that I consider borderline starters, depending on the team. Thornton, Salmons. and JT. For instance, I think JT could start for the Heat. Sounds crazy, but they could move Bosh back to PF where he's more comfortable, and let JT play center. He'd be the perfect center for them. He doesn't get in the way. Doesn't demand the ball. He rebounds, plays defense, and gives them the height that they've been lackiing up front.

Just about every other player on the team is functional, but at the moment, nothing more than a role player on many of the teams in the NBA, and in some cases, a player that sits at the end of the bench. And with a DNP (coaches decision) after his name on the boxscore.

i said 9.

but we all know Smart will use every player who is eligible to play
