What is a realistic situation where we can sign Parsons? Houston declined his option making him a free agent this summer.
Houston declined his option so they could sign him to a long term deal.

Now obviously he could choose to leave - Carlos Boozer had an "agreement" with the Cavs when they declined this option and instead of resigning in Cleveland for the MLE he took a big money deal from Utah.

But the Kings don't have the cap room to offer a big money deal and Houston has a starting position for him on a playoff team.

Houston did this to make Parsons a restricted free agent so that they could match any offer. Had they picked up his cheap option he would be an unrestricted free agent next year. Houston completely intends to match any offer sheet to Parsons, so outside of giving him too much money (I don't know what that means...$15M/year??) there is no realistic situation where we can get Parsons.

Nope - Parsons is a restricted free agent this year, that's why Houston did this now instead of taking his cheap option and letting him be an unrestricted free agent next year.

It's rumored that Houston has it's eye's on either Melo or Love to put along side Howard. The only way we could get Parsons, who I love, would be if Houston spends a ton of money on either Love or Melo, and we were to make an offer so high that they might refuse to match. Problem is, we don't have enough capspace to make such an offer, and even if we did, it's still likely that they would match. I'm still sick that we passed on Parsons when we had the chance to draft him. Where is Honeycutt now? Honeycutt was my second choice though.
