They are way too excited by basic fundamental basketball in Cleveland. Congratulations, Tristan Thompson looks like a rotation guy now. Please stop shouting at me.

It really looked like IT was trying to posterize Varejao.:D
Why not close out Varejao, let him bit you off the dribble if he can without committing offensive foul.

Pretty solid first half. Bench unit with Gay gave us a huge lift at the start of the 2nd quarter.

Only 6 FGAs for Big Cuz, I'm expecting a healthy dose of DeMarcus in the 3rd quarter.

if Varejao and Miles at some point decide to start missing shots, this might an easy win. then again, Kyrie Irving hasn't done anything yet, which is kinda scary.

Cousins PnR defense has been especially bad this game. He needs to hedge and recover quickly. Gay and JT have been bailing him out.

The offense is the offense. Jimmer seems to have found a role and Gay playing point-forward makes up for Jimmer's poor ball handling. McLemore had a nice dunk, but is still struggling and has returned to rushing his release.

Don't Make Me Use The Bat
We have to quit using Cousins as a passing post to our guards.

We have to quit using ANYBODY as a passing post to our guards. Thornton hit an early three. Have any of them except Jimmer hit even a single jumper after that again?

Anyone realize that Mclemore's defense on Irving was actually really good? He didn't give him any open looks at all. He was glued to him. Irving's shooting has been pretty bad this game

anyway, can't complain at all with a 9 point lead. Jimmer, Williams, and JT are really having a major impact on our play. 23 1st half points from those 3.

Also, nice to see us D up Kyrie really well. His only basket came on a good contest against Ben.

In general, McLemore's defense on point guards has been better than his D on shooting guards. I recall him covering another PG earlier this year and having success.
